A must try in Amsterdam - Edit
I love to come here for lunch/dinner. Haven’t tried breakfast yet. Atmosphere is always nice and friendly staff. I love the variety of food I can choose from and that I can decide how much I’d like to eat. And it’s organic✨ Tried out the cakes for the first time (Vegan Cherry Cake); it was delicious! Definitely will try out more next time.

Sustainable veggies - Edit
Actually my favorite place to eat as a vegan. A big variety of food that you can select yourself. You pay for the weight of your food, which is nice, but not always fair. I love that I can go out and still eat healthy. I love the asparagus in spring. The satay is also very nice. And the vegan chocolate mousse is heaven!

My best experience in Amsterdam yet! - Edit
I love the food, atmosphere, staff and the master touch of chefs!
Read moreExpect very high quality of food, self service(pay the weight). Price compared to average of amsterdam is slightly high but not for what you get...
They dont accept cash usually and its not clear until the time for payment. IMO HappyCow should specify the cash only businesses.
I will go back to spirit again for sure.
Pros: Veggie paradise, Self service, Friendly staffs
Cons: Only pay by card (no cash), Slightly expensive,10% cheaper would make it best, Need more plants and greener atmosphere

A new restaurant experience - Edit
Spirits idea of letting the customer decide what and how much food they want works well! Every dish has a card with the ingredients on it, and many dishes are surprising and always good! Slightly expensive, but hard to find this lovely experience anywhere else. Spirit is also a great place to study or work in: many people do.

This is a great restaurant with very many vegan choices. My friends who are neither vegan not vegetarian like going here. We always end up with very full plates and a clear desire to go back.

Best buffet ever!!! - Edit
It was all vegetarian with LOADS of vegan options and everything was so tasty! There was a massaman curry and a peanut tofu dish in particular which were amazing. Lots of gluten free options too for my friend. It ended up being really quite expensive cos I loaded my plate up and it was nearly €40 which for one plate is a lot but it was a big plate. If you’re very hungry and on a budget I wouldn’t recommend but if you have more control than me or don’t care about the price I would strongly recommend. We were too full for pudding but it all looked great and all vegan. I would definitely go back but would maybe have half the amount to keep the price down!

Buffet is mostly vegan and all the foods are very skillfully prepared and delicious. The Sunday we visited, there was for example tempe, tofu, seitan, vegan eggsalad, green salads and seaweed, green and white asparagus and mushrooms.

Buffet style, lots of great choices, but expensive - Edit
This is a buffet style eatery, with a supermarket. The food is very healthy and delicious, but it's by the weight. I got a very small amount of a lot of dishes to try, and it really adds up!

Should be all vegan! - Edit
Great place to eat healthy vegan food. Many options and clearly indicated what’s vegan. Unfortunately there are also eggs and cheese - I think the restaurant should be completely vegan. They know how to cook vegan. It would be so nice if they could just be real cruelty free!

good variety and different - Edit
Great selection of different foods and interesting format where you pay by weight. Problem is we didn't really have much on the plate and it was 12€ already so not good value. I think the bread might have been for free but no one told us and didn't realise until we left. Good quality food though with nice flavours

Wayyyy too Munch salt! - Edit
When I entered the restaurant, I was excited. All of the food looked really good. But what a dissapointment it was. Most of the items were way, way, way too salty. The tempeh was so salty that it hurt my mouth. The falafel was so salty that my falafel monster daughter didn’t want to eat it after onze bite. When I tried it, I didn’t even want her to continue, because everyone knows that salt is a heart attack in a bottle. I told the staff and they listened to my complaint, even offered me a drink. But, I told them about the tempen and asked them in this was a mistake. They didn’t answer, but I also didn’t see them try the tempeh or take the bowl away after my complaint. 5 hours later, I still feel i need to drink non stop. Horrible! Expensive and dissapointing.

Definitely worth a visit - Edit
This place had some of the best vegan food I’ve ever eaten in Amsterdam! It’s buffet style (weigh and pay), but the food doesn’t lack quality because of this. I got a huge mixture of dishes, including satay chicken skewers, seasoned chips, sushi, curries with fake meat, chicken strips with spicey mayo. BUT the real reason to visit here is the dessert buffet! They had so many options, and I was there half an hour before close, so they probably have more earlier in the night. I got vegan crepe brûlée, chocolate mousse, blueberry tart and poached pears. The chocolate mousse is out of this world.
