Generous portions in proper containers - Edit
They recently moved to Telheiras (I took a while to get there from their old adress), but it was worth it. Big meals at affordable price, veggies were crunchy but a bit too salty (or flavour enhanced) for me: some seemed to be overcooked and I had to leave out some burnt parts.

Very healthy takeaway/delivery of vegan 🌱 grub - Edit
I arrived in late to Lisbon airport from Budapest. The Pope was leaving Budapest on a plane right beside our plane and we had to wait because he’s the pope and we are just pilgrims.
Read moreH met me at the airport with a take away fresh from spill the greens (STG) and it was amazing after a delayed dehydrating flight (they always are)
I had the tempeh & chickpea dish (didn’t get a pic) and Helen had the lasagne (see pics) we also had killer desserts from STG

I've ordered some food from Spill the Greens without great expectations, but the experience was quite a surprise. This is no ordinary restaurant trying to take advantage of the growing popularity of the vegetarian/vegan cuisine. The food is really good, well cooked, delicious and balanced, with very reasonable portions for an honest price. Highly recommended!

Ordered the seitan dish, the tofu tikka massala, and the soup. Had to recheck the menu just to make sure that it was really seitan... The taste, the texture, it's great. Definitely recommend, even for picky eaters.

Very tasty takeaway vegan food - Edit
Well, I am a demanding eater, I normally dislike places that sell bland and not well thought food with random things added on the dish... just because. Spill the Greens is NOT one of these places.
Read moreI've ordered it many many times on the last 6 months, that I was super surprised to see they still hadn't been added to HappyCow when I wanted to add a review. Actually my last order here was yesterday, and, every time, the food was really good, balanced, tasty and served in good portions with a more than fair price. The only exception would be the seitan, for some reason it's served less quantity than every other dish.
They do have a couple of things to improve tho:
- It always takes a longgg time, I mean long, normally over 1h, and a big part of it is just them getting it ready (they have 4 dishes, shouldn't be that hard).
- The soup packaging is awful.. yesterday when my food arrived it was "Spill the Soup" and not "Spill the Greens".
All in all, this is a great place, with probably the best price/quality ratio in Lisbon. I am a big fan.
(sorry for the half eaten food fotos.. but with take-away I always forget to take pictures...)
