fantastic vegan curries

Entirely vegetarian and vegan restaurant, with lots of amazing options. Vegan curries are extremely tasty, and they definately know their spice! Store next door has plenty of vegetarian and vegan things.

Pros: delicious vegan curries, lots of options

Authentic Indian Fully Vegan Resturant

Had dinner last night at this unassuming little vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Nundah, North of Brisbane called Spice Valley. The food was authentic South Indian cuisine with most vegetarian dishes having vegan versions (and lots of choices). There are no meat dishes. They don't use Ghee, but rather sunflower oil. Vegetarian dishes contain paneer cheese and yoghurt. The owners were really sweet and helpful, and made sure our selection were vegan and not vegetarian. A westernised menu had full colour photos and listed ingredients to make the selecion easy. The dishes were spicy and amazingly tasty, and pricing was ridiculous - our four shared main meals and three drinks only came to $42. With clientele being Indians, it has to be a great testimonial. We'll be back there again. The restaurant is adjacent to an Indian grocery store too and they are right behind the Nundah train station.

Pros: Fully Vegan dishes, Authentic Indian dishes, Cheap!

Cons: It's not a high class 'wear your suit' , Most dishes are spicy

Can't wait to go back!!!

Pure vegetarian restaurant with plenty of vegan options. Great food, great service and very reasonably priced. Perhaps the most authentic Indian cuisine in Brisbane.

Spicy indeed :-)

This place is clean, comfortable and has a pleasant atmosphere. The service was prompt and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not a lot on the menu for vegans (a couple of dishes can be adapted), but enough of a variety for a couple of visits. It would be better to have the prices on the table menu, not just on the board menu above the counter. Also the dishes aren't marked as entrees or main courses on the menu, so i thought i was ordering an entree and a main course but i think (by the size) the dishes were both entrees (see photos). The food was great, tasty, moderately spicy, but i would call the prices "moderate" and reasonably so, but not "cheap." Two entrees and takeaway potato bread was $20.47. They did give me vegan tamarind sauce with the bread in place of the dairy raita which was a nice touch. Located just round the corner from Nundah railway station.

Lovely Staff, Food, Atmosphere

We really enjoyed our meal here. There was good understanding of my vegan requirements and a good range of vegan options on the menu. Some *hot* dishes on the menu, but the staff pointed those out for us. And it was a very inexpensive meal.
