Nostalgic and delicious

I have been vegan for 24 years and I don't ever miss meat now. I don't even care about fake meats -- I just eat beans at home. So it surprised me how poignantly nostalgic it was to taste Black Sheep's vegan lamb, which reminded me of how my grandpa used to season his homemade sausage. I tasted Black Sheep's vegan lamb at the Bizerkeley Vegan Food Festival and then sought out Souvla to try it in a Greek sandwich. So yummy. This might be my new favorite date spot with my partner.

Vegan Lamb

They offer a plant based lamb meat sandwich called Black Sheep. I asked not to add the feta cheese and yogurt sauce. I was really impressed by the seasoning. It kinda reminded me of Mexican grilled steak like my parents used to make when I was a kid. The texture was much softer than chewy. I also ordered a side of fries and their house made hot sauce and both were really good.

Pros: Tasty sandwich, Outdoor sitting at least two locations

Cons: No vegan cheese or yogurt sauce
