Loved it❤️ - Edit
I absolutely adore this restaurant! On a road trip to Florida on a whim I checked for vegan food along our route and saw this. Totally impressed with everything we ordered except the bacon and cheese (the cheese was great but bacon not so much). Totally going to eat there on the way back in a week. Hopefully for lunch 😋

Pros: Steak and cheese eggs, Pancakes , Biscuits
Cons: The bacon wasn't that good, Kind of expensive but it's normal for vegan food😓

Best vegan food ever! - Edit
OMG!! this is my all time favourite vegan restaurant!!! My husband and I travel all over USA and this place does vegan soul food justice!!! I would recommend everything but we had the nachos which were amazing!! We also had the bbq pulled jackfruit and spicy jalapeño tacos! Omg these tacos were to die for!! Especially the spicy jalapeño (I love spicy!), to say I was impressed is a complete understatement. Than we had the fried chicken. I questioned if it was chicken because the texture and the flavours!! Omg I will be dreaming about that fried jackfruit! It was so amazing!! The vibe of this place is perfect for soul food they have a live music area. The employees are so nice and welcoming! I honestly felt at home! I will for sure be back when our travels bring us this way. I told the employees i’m glad I found such a gem for vegans but i’m also sad that I don’t have access to the food since we travel. I would 100% recommend especially anyone transitioning. Best part is that they don’t use any soy!!! Everything is homemade and fresh. I could talk about them all day !!

Very Enjoyable - Edit
Great vegan find. The menu shown is incomplete. An all vegan restaurant with numerous options. I had the pulled pork (jackfruit) BBQ sandwich with Mac & Cheese. My better half had the pepper steak, Mac, greens meal. Both were good and we will return when in the area.

Vegan Oasis - Edit
A vegan oasis in the middle of Georgia’s endless I-75. Thankful to have found Southern Vegan Soul Cafe tonight. With an empty storefront parking lot and a cozy, clean interior, I didn’t know what to expect from this restaurant. It was empty on a Thursday evening and so I had all the time I wanted to look at the menu and talk to the lady behind the counter.
Read moreI ended up with the fried chicken meal, served with greens, cornbread, and mac & cheese. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful for all this good vegan food, and the service was lovely and quick. The food was great, so take these comments as me being hyper critical. The cornbread was a little hard, the mac & cheese lacking cheesy flavor. But the greens were perfect and tasty, and the chicken stole the show. I’ve never had a vegan jackfruit chicken before, so this was a moist, warm, flavorful treat. The seasoning I crust were both perfect. And a chocolate chip oatmeal cookies to top it all off; light and sweet.
I hope this business sees many more years of success, and tricks their recipes to be the best and all of Georgia.
Pros: All vegan
Cons: Not the best food i’ve ever had

We decided to go back to try Sunday Brunch 10/17/21. Well, folks lets just say it is not worth the trip if you live outside of the neighborhood. This is a Vegan restaurant, yet they had nothing fresh, no live-music, and just was not at all what I expected for a brunch. The desserts consisted of the cupcakes from Friday, they had a few packaged cookies, and 3 small peach tarts that looked a bit dry. No fresh juices for brunch-just bottled Calypso and water. Nothing at all like what has been posted on their Instagram page for brunch. I ordered the basic french toast, my partner changed his mind completely-ordered coffee & a cookie. I'm standing there thinking that I couldve had a homemade FRESH VEGAN brunch at home, or at any of the other restaurants we passed on the 1.5hr drive to get here. Wow.
The customer service today was NOTHING like what was given on Friday. The young woman at the register (wore black/white dress) was very short with Us, and seemed more interested in talking to the other staff behind the counter. I asked if they had any additional options, as some places have a secret menu or something special offered for brunch. The same young lady at the register handed me the menu, said no pointed to the Brunch section, then told me that I could "take a picture of the menu." LOL. I kindly declined, told her that this was our 2nd visit & then I took a seat to wait on my toast.
Needless to say, I won't be back too soon, and definitely not at all for their Sunday Brunch. This could be a great spot for locals, with a bit of cleaning/upgrades of the walls & bathroom, improved customer service especially at the counter, and adding a few FRESH options to the menu.

3 stars is generous - Edit
I am giving this 3 stars when it should be less just because its the only vegan place in town. They were out of like 5 things on the menu, their drink selection was lacking, it took 40 mins to get our food, it was in styrofoam, only plastic utensils, food presentation was not appetizing at all, the flavors were pretty great, portions were pretty small, found a hair in my food..... there was great music playing.

Exceptional Choices - Edit
I’ve only gone on Sunday Brunch, but the food is always extremely tasty. It’s best to call in your order like 30 minutes ahead. But as the only fully vegan restaurant in Macon, it represents veganism well. I got the vegan scrambler and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles, both were very good. I love their vegan eggs and coconut bacon.

Too little too late - Edit
I went for the Sunday brunch. When I arrived the place was packed, with very little food on the tables and no air conditioning!! Thankfully there was an awesome reggae band because I waited for an hour to get 2 breakfast scrambles and a breakfast sandwich. Maybe they were short on staff that day, who knows. All I can report is my experience and the bottom line was the wait was too long and the food wasn’t good enough to warrant the 48$ bill I racked up for 3 breakfast plates.

Completely vegan and housemade. The brunch is so good only on Sundays. Another fav is "pulled pork" bbq sandwich made from jackfruit. If you are looking for raw foods not the place but vegan comfort food won't hurt every so often

Came here on a Sunday morning on our way to Florida after charging our car. Food is spectacular. Live music was an extra surprise the kids will never forget. We had a large group so literally had everything on the menu. No disappointment! Will come back when passing through again!

Best Vegan Restaurant in Macon!!!! - Edit
This restaurant is wonderful!!! The food is amazing and the place itself is a very peaceful, serene atmosphere. They have vegan BBQ and Buffalo wings, veggie burger, vegan grilled cheese (one of my faves), vegan patty melt, tacos, Mac n Cheese, pizzas, vegan Philly, and everything during the week. On Sundays they vegan chicken and waffles, vegan chicken biscuit, pancakes, vegan scramble, and more!! Their deserts are also to die for the vegan cinnamon roll is delicious and they also have cookies, cupcakes, and they cater and create personal cakes for events!!! On top of that their food is soy free, gluten free, organic and non gmo!! If you're in Macon check this place out pronto!!! So far my fave vegan restaurant!!

Fabulous restaurant in an unlikely location - Edit
I've been here three times and wish I could go more often, but I live 50 minutes away.
Read moreIt's in a very unusual location inside the Dealer's Hall of the Macon State Farmer's Market. There are tables outside in a covered area and also some tables indoors.
Twice I went for brunch. The brunch is really good. I recommend the Sunrise Skillet, but everything is good. The waffles are very tasty.
Once I went for lunch and got the Pulled BBQ sandwich with mac and cheese and sweet tea for $10.95. It was a big lunch and I couldn't quite finish it. The sandwich was probably the best thing with jackfruit that I've had. The bread was buttered and grilled like a grilled cheese sandwich. It was so decadent and delicious.
The owner is also very friendly. The service is good. I really like this place!
Pros: Food, All-vegan, Friendly
Cons: Limited hours, Limited beverage selection
