They have a lot of options, great service, and a lovely ambiance, but I was disappointed in the food. We ordered 4 dishes, but the sauce tasted a bit too similar in all of them. The unique and bold spices typical of these dishes were washed out with whatever sauce this was. Still, it was yummy, just not great.

Definitely the best food around. I was super impressed with the variety of vegan options they had and the staffs knowledge with veganism. They gave our table free shots both times we came as well as delicious wine. We ordered the veg korma which was delicious along with Eggplant dish. The staff were super friendly and had a great sense of humor.

Excellent Indian Food with extensive vegan menu - Edit
The food was delicious at this Indian restaurant and service was excellent as well. Ask for the separate vegan menu; it is extensive but you may want to have a "regular" menu also to check what the entree includes unless you're very familiar with Indian cuisine. I had a vegetable masala dish & it was delicious. I also liked that the pakoras weren't greasy and while the mint paratha wasn't on the vegan menu, they omitted the butter & I was able to order it. It was great; just a touch of mint and again not greasy. They also gave us a complimentary chickpea salad pre-dinner that was very tasty and two complimentary beverages. The only con is that the restaurant is located in a nondescript strip mall, but it is nicely decorated inside so don't let that detract you from visiting this restaurant. One of the best meals I had on the island.

Southern Spice offers a wide variety of vegan dishes. Remember to ask for the separate vegan menu. Staff is very familiar with vegan requirements and won't slip in ghee of other dairy. Great food, excellent/very attentive staff. I am a repeat customer.
