Sous le Pont (ferroviaire) de l’Aar, On y mange, on y mange

If you’re looking for a lively, unpretentions, affordable and extremely alternative place to have a bite in Bärn, go Under the Bridge (Sous le Pont;) There are always clearly labelled vegan options on the menu (curry, dal, ... for CHF 15-20.00.-) and various small dishes (like a falafel sandwich for CHF 9.00.- or fries for CHF 6.00.-=). And on the first Sunday of the month, they do a vegan brunch (haven’t tried this one yet). Disclaimer: they only accept cash.

Vegan restaurant inside of a cultural hotspot

Second best value for money restaurant in town, with at least one vegan option all the time. If sold out, the french fries with the homemade sauces are always an option. Should be on every tourist and vegan list to visit. Atmosphere is unique and the people who work there are always friendly and laid-back.

Pros: Good food, Good value for money, laid-back atmosphere

Cons: sometimes sold out bec. of high demand

Food with nice ambiente

The Sous Le Pont is a restaurant in the Reitschule. Very alternative and with a changing menu. Normally there is one vegan menu beside three non vegan menus which sometimes can be ordered in a vegan version. There are always vegan dishes like falafel, pasta and a soup.
Every first Sunday of the month, there is a vegan brunch at the Sous Le Pont. It's really good. I try to go there every month.

Pros: Good value, friendly stuff, faire prices

Great Place

THis is a a realy cool place in Berne! it has a few vegan options on the menue and the prices are moderate and the plates realy big! friendly and fast staff good atmosphere! must go!

special place, good food, vegan options

This is a restaurant without any boss - everybody who works there manages the place together as a collective - good atmosphere! Friendly staff.
There is always at least one vegan option on the menu, for lunch and dinner, as well as several vegetarian dishes. Plus vegan snacks like falafel.
Wednesdays are specialty evenings.
