I fully appreciate every place that offers a vegan option or two and will try it out at least once. I have this place two tries but it just didn’t cut it for me unfortunately. Last time I went I had serious bathroom problems afterwards….that was final time.

There are several vegan options and the staff is very knowledgeable on what is/is not vegan! Vegan options typically have the word vegan marked, but you can always ask to be sure!

They are evolving well for vegans, the Very Vegan Start is amazing, like nothing I have seen offered in this area, well prepared fresh, satisfying and delicious. A wonderful meal.

The vegan breakfast is very good, but there are limited vegan options on the menu. Prior to eating fully vegan (vegetarian for 21 years) I LOVED this place, the food is quality.

Vegan Stew - Edit
Had the vegan stew for lunch and it was much better than expected. I came in wanting a veggie omelet and was happy I decided with a vegan meal instead!

Staff is great. I do not like the term Vegan. I try to eat plant base. They do need to expand their menu for veg/plant base. The Ethiopian Stew is great.

I ordered the Lunch Vegan Stew. My husband had an omelette. Off the lunch menu. I asked about vegan bread to go with my meal. Waitress said none of their breads are vegan. Hmm.

If I was allergic to eggs or milk, I would have had to go to the hospital for allergic reaction!
They are trying to not put plastic straws in cold drinks, unless you ask for one. This is great for the oceans and environment. But they still brought coffee out with two thin plastic straws in it. The little old ladies behind us asked for straws. The waitress could educate them briefly as to why they are not needed. How else would any customer learn?
In case you don't know: plastic straws never go away. They end up in lakes and oceans as litter. They kill wildlife that eat them. They get famously stuck in a sea turtle's nostril and had to be pulled out with pliers! Check YouTube for that real video.
They have 2 items on the lunch menu that are vegan. A salad could be modified to be vegan. Other than that, no vegan options.

one vegan option that isn't soup - Edit
the brunch vegan option and vegan sandwich are the same thing, the brunch option is just deconstructed. not very creative, vinaigrette pairs oddly with the lentils. the vegan soup options aren't too bad, but generally overpriced and basic.

Soup Spoon Cafe offers several regular gourmet began menu items, and often has vegan specials. They are catering our son's wedding and offering all vegan sides as well as a vegan entree.
