推薦二重便當 - Edit
高級店的裝潢氛圍,可以感受到主廚的匠人精神,請務必嘗試二重便當,擺盤精緻又美味,尤其是其中的玉米飯讓人印深刻!

Relaxing set menu - Edit
A very expensive mistake - but a relaxing worthwhile one. We came here in the evening for a quick bite and found ourselves with a 7 course meal. It was all lovely, if not quite revelatory, and perhaps the dessert was the only real disappointment. Our favourite thing was, we arrived very early and were the only people there for a while - it was very ASMR magical, with them preparing the dishes in front of us as we sat on the bar.

Cons: Dessert was a little basic (two pieces of fruit), Expensive

Where was this picture taken? It doesn’t look like Saido in Jiyugaoka, unless they completely remodeled the place…

Oh good point! This was Sougo and I got mixed up between the names… wish I could get a table at Saido! I’ll change this review ASAP, thanks for spotting!

One of the best meals ever - Edit
For some reason I can’t give this full marks, but this is a five star restaurant all day. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Delicious multi-course lunch menu. Each course was so tasty and interesting, and the chef came over and explained each course. Very fancy (and expensive!) but an amazing experience.

An enjoyable Shojin experience 🍵 - Edit
Had an amazing time at Sougo! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and really put the dishes beautifully together. The flavours were true to Shojin cuisine, so a little bland, but that was to be expected. Caters to vegans, but the day I was there, the whole course was vegan. Overall, an amazing experience ✨

Awful!! - Edit
If I could give this place zero, I would!!
Read moreFood has one flavor going through all dishes, bland! The chef's profile on his website does not match the food - lacked creativity, taste, presentation.
The service is mediocre as well. Seating uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place, and neither would I go back.
An over-rated Chef!
Pros: None
Cons: food, ambience, and service, 63000 yen for two people

Great spot for modern Shojin Ryori! - Edit
One of my favourite Shojin Ryori restaurants, Sougo is a great place to introduce someone to the refined Japanese vegetarian/vegan cuisine (without so much of the fuss that characterises other locations in Tokyo that specialise in Shojin Ryori) or worth visiting if you are well-acquainted with the cuisine.
Read moreChef Nomura’s inventive and modern takes on vegetarian food are clever, while also remaining firmly grounded in his excellent training. All told, a meal here will be a delicious and unique experience!
Pros: Great modern takes on Shojin Ryori, Relaxed dining environment , Great location
Cons: Need to reserve the vegan course in advance , Could be a little pricey

Sougo - Edit
I had the vegan 7 course 2 desserts set menu. Overall, it was delicious and the presentation was impeccable; however, I wouldn’t give this place any more than four stars due to the fact there was very clearly a hair in my food and the staff didn’t really do anything extra because of it. Mind you, they did remake make my meal, but the person who I was dining with waited to eat their meal and it became cold by the time my dish was remade. At the very least they could’ve offered a bottle of sake or some other small gesture.

Fantastic experience, some dishes delicious, others not so great - Edit
Had a great evening here last night. We walked in and got a seat at the bar. Vegan tasting menu was available alongside the vegetarian version - no need to pre book.
Read moreFood is beautifully presented and we were able to try dishes we would never normally try. The servers describe each dish in detail as it is served. Most dishes were delicious, but there were two that I didn’t like. But that was personal preference rather than any issue with cooking.
Definitely worth a visit while in Tokyo!
Pros: 10 course vegan tasting menu, Fabulous presentation , A true gastronomic experience
Cons: A bit pricey, Some dishes not great

High-end vegan dining - Edit
Sougo is expensive but worth it for a special dining experience. You can sit secluded at a table, or at the counter to watch the chefs preparing each course. Vegan set menu is 10,000 yen at dinner. Took us a while to find the place: it’s 3rd floor above a Family Mart, with the lift entrance to the right.
