Veg menu only. Rolled the dice on the beans in burrito. Food tasted great. Great salsa. Friendly service.

Mexican food in downtown San Clemente

This place is somewhat of a hot spot in the heart of San Clemente on Avenida Del Mar. My husband and I chose to sit at the bar to eat and of course have a drink (or two)… We love the energy of restaurant bars and it’s easy to strike up conversations with fellow locals.
Sol Agave doesn’t offer much on their menu for vegans but you can get creative. I settled on the fajitas and didn’t have any meats added. I’m quite content with rice, beans, grilled veggies and tortillas. Standard fare for fajitas but it met my need.
We haven’t gone back since there are a lot of Mexican food places in San Clemente and we like to sample. Doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t go back though.

Pros: Location is great, Great vibe

Cons: Too few vegan options
