Cozy Cafe - Edit
You could tell the owner of this place is passionate about his food and Esperanto. The daily set meal was tasty and filling. I had a fried tofu which was firm and nice in texture with proper seasoning. He has a few organic ingredients listed on his menu, including wine and beer. Definitely worth coming out to Waseda to try.

Varied and Inexpensive - Edit
I really appreciated my dinner at this little ecclectic looking restaurant. The set meal is varied and filling, and quite inexpensive (800¥), and the red wine bottle I had was sweet and decent. Meals changes from day to day which makes it an interesting experience each visit.

Best Vegan Restaurant in Tokyo - Edit
I went to a lot of vegan places while I was in Tokyo, and this was the best in almost every way! The food is lovely and only ¥700-¥800 for a good sized meal (and I eat more than the average person). The owner is so kind and friendly too. Just message before to make sure he is open. He replied to me pretty quick.

My favourite place anywhere, ever. - Edit
The food is varied, delicious, and cheap. The owner, whom everyone lovingly calls "Mastro", which means master in Esperanto, is a man with a passion. Unlike many other vegan places, he's really not in there for the money.

I particularly loved the fried spinach dish, absolutely amazing.
Pros: Diversity of dishes, Delicious, Cheap

If you are vegan and in Tokyo, you owe it to yourself to visit this quirky and delightful restaurant - the owner, food, and ambiance will bring a smile to your face. Highly recommend the set lunch/dinner - delicious, healthy, and very satisfying. Don’t miss the taiyaki - it alone is worth the trip!

A very unique cafe in Tokyo and it must the only vegan Esperanto cafe in the world.

I learned a lot about Esperanto and owner introduced me to Esperanto music,
magazines and more. Esperanto is a language that fits in the vegan movement: They both represent freedom and inclusivity of all species.
Pros: Great food at great prices!, Esperanto!, Very nice and attentive owner
Cons: Nothing bad to say about this place.

Fabulous vegan food in Waseda - Edit
I love this little restaurant. It is owned by a highly attentive fellow who does all the cooking and waits on the tables. He is absolutely delightful and goes out of his way to make your experience wonderful. The menu has two set courses and a la carte options. All are vegan. All are delicious and fresh. The set courses are where you should focus your attention, especially the daily menu. It comes with 5-7 different items with healthy portions - so come hungry. I especially appreciate that the owner includes a healthy dose of protein with the meals - generally tofu and legumes. The restaurant serves beer, wine and nihonshu (sake) and is a BARGAIN.

I had dinner with a couple of Japanese friends who had vegan good for the very first time. All of us had a great time, we tried the chickpeas "hamburger" and the vegan curry, it was very tasty, with also many "okazu" (vegetables, tofu, etc.). Great quality and quantity for only 700 yens per person! We also had a very nice chat with the owner, himself vegan for 10 years as I remember. I will definitely go there again!

Go for it! - Edit
A very original place run by a guy who is quite enthusiastic about veganism and esperanto - two things that do not have a lot in common at the first glance, but work out just fine. The food and service was flawess, the shop has a nice interior and a lot of stuff related to esperanto. I would have expected a fatter bill after the deliciousness we’d had, but we paid 1900¥ for two 定食 sets composed of various ingredients, plus drinks. We also received a neat vegan map of Tokyo restaurants plus a kind invitation to a vegan event in 代々木 park. Go for it!

Delicious, healthy food in a cozy atmosphere - Edit
I had dinner here with 2 friends who are not vegan and we all absolutely loved it! We all ordered set meals which were 700 yen a piece and we all left very full. The vegetable spring rolls were my favorite. The chickpea curry with brown rice was very good and came with sides of tofu, veggies and miso soup. The owner was very kind. All in all, it was a delicious, nutritious and filling meal for a very affordable price. I would not hesitate to go back and I would feel confidant that people who don't normally seek out vegan food would also leave satisfied.

Finally affordable vegan food in Japan! - Edit
Offers both a la carte and 2 set meals. Spent 700yen on one of the set meals of the day. It came with 1 plate consisting of tofu and veggies, 1 bowl of miso soup, 1 bowl of brown rice, and a small plate of veggies. It was amazing. The portions are huge for the price. Very friendly owner. Will go back everyday for as long as I stay in Tokyo.

Really inexpensive good food! - Edit
My boyfriend is really into language learning so when we found out about a vegan restaurant that was also all about Esperanto we had to check it out. It did not let us down!
Read moreFirst off, the food was very tasty. We ordered the daily set meal (which was rehydrated dried tofu and onions plus all the side dishes), vege fried meat, vege spring rolls, and vege dumplings. Everything we ate was excellent, and it was only ¥1600 for all of it!
Secondly, the experience of speaking Esperanto with the restaurant owner and other patrons was really unique, and everyone was incredibly friendly. The owner of the restaurant was very kind and gave us lots of info about vegan groups and meetups in Japan. Even those who aren't into Esperanto or languages will still enjoy chatting with the owner though, as he also speaks Japanese and excellent English. Plus the food and prices are enough to make a visit worth it!
Pros: super friendly owner and patrons, delicious food, really inexpensive

Low prices for large servings - Edit
I'm a student at Waseda University and this place is less than a couple minutes from where I live, so it is nice to have a vegan place close to home. The prices are low, only 600 yen for a filling dinner. This place is not open during lunch though, so make sure you are aware of that.
