I really enjoyed my meals here and tried a variety of dishes from the ready-made dishes displayed (of which there were a lot!) as well as delivery. We even tried their vegan fried egg (the white was crispy on the edges like real egg) and a delicious drumstick on a lemongrass 'bone'. They are definitely the cheapest place I went to in Bangkok and the quality was really good, although some dishes are on the oily side. Still highly recommend it!

so vegan is definitely our favorite vegan restaurant in Bangkok, sometimes we order delivery and select random dishes we don't know to try something new and everything is delicious. It's also cheap and has a big variety of dishes from western to local Thai. Food is homemade-like so it quickly became our comfort restaurant

Amazing mock meat, different selection everyday. Loved the buffet, as it is such a bargain. Staff are amazingly helpful. I could eat here every day. In fact when in this area I eat here pretty much every day. The red rice with two vegan options is a personal favorite.

Over my 5 1/2 months in Bangkok I became a huge fan of the different So Vegan branches.
Read moreThey all sell a rice buffet with the dishes on display in the window. Depending on which branch you visit, English will be spoken better or worse. Basic communication should be possible at all of them though.
There are many different dishes, changing on a daily basis with some being available each day. A few of my favourites are Kaeng som, Massaman, Pad Kra Pao and the tofu - mushroom mix. Some are quite spicy, overall I found all to be very tasty.
Rice + your choice of 3 toppings from the pre cooked dishes is 60 THB.
The portions are not huge but I found it to be enough usually.
They also have some different dishes which they cook fresh for you, including Som Tam and other salads, fresh Kra Pao, some soups and many more. Also very tasty.
Even though the quality of the food for sure isn't top notch, I still very much enjoyed my many visits to all their branches.
I can't recommend their Western menus, I only once tried the burger, which I found okay to be fair.
But I overheard quite a few foreigners usually being not very happy with their orders of Western menus.
Stick to the Thai menus and I'm sure you will enojy your visit as well.
Depending on the time of visit, the branches might be quite crowded, especially the ones in On Nut and Ekkamai.
I've never eaten the "original" meaty version of the Thai dishes, but I came here with some omni Thai friends who all told me most of the menus really taste like the versions with meat.

This is probably one of the best places in Bangkok if you are looking for authentic (vegan) Thai food that is also very affordable!!
Read moreIf you are in the area or want to get a full stomach come here for sure. You can order fixed meals or get a portion of rice and then just mix dishes as you like! Some things are spicy but just ask the staff and they will tell you.
A big mixed plate will only cost you about 60 baht!!

Staff cant tell which foods are spicy and which not. We did eat there few times. There is option to take rice (purple) with 1-3 sides. They also have other dishes like soups and burgers.

Read moreIt would definitely be classed as fast food, but it’s very, very reasonably-priced. The cheapest vegan burger that I found anywhere in Bangkok. You could come here with 128 baht in your pocket and get a vegan hot dog with fries. The location, on the ground floor of Gateway Ekkamai is very convenient too; right next to Ekkamai BTS.

It is certainly a great place to eat in quantity, yet cheap. We took the rice set (in which you can choose 2 ingredients) per 75THB each and certainly worth it!

Also, the time schedule is wrong. They close at 8.30 pm

The vegan fish is really delicious and love their vegan omelets as well.
If your near here, really give this place a try, you wont be dissapointed.

This place is on my commute home and I get dinner here almost every day. The food is flavourful and there are so many options! It’s not like a fancy restaurant I’d travel for, but it is wonderful if you want a cheap option when you’re in the area. I haven’t tried the burger/ non Thai options yet but I’m sure I will too.
