Vegan chai!! - Edit
What a wonderful place in Newcastle. Such tasty filling food and wonderful drinks. I've yet to try the burfi but how great to have it as a vegan option! Takes card and cash. Very reasonably priced and with biodegradable containers.

Delicious food at great prices - Edit
The food, drinks and sweets available at Snackwallah are tasty and great value. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I particularly like to get a samosa plate and a cup of chai. I would definitely recommend others visiting Grainger Market to go there.

Another reason to visit Newcastle - Edit
Today I was in town And wanted a quick snack. I got a hot puri chatt from the specials board and a cuppa for £6. They were both tasty and filling. This place is excellent value and the staff are absolutely lovely. If your near the Grainger Market it’s well worth a visit.

Best vegan spot for lunch in town I think. Food is really flavourful, fairly healthy and excellent value. Owners are dead friendly and often give people free tasters.

Me and my girlfriend have been going here for about a year regularly on a Saturday. It is all vegan and all delicious. Not tried everything yet but getting there. Everything I’ve had so far I’d have again in a second. Lovely people too.

Tried a few options here. All have been tasty, very welcoming and chatty servers. Portion sizes are just right for me. If your hungry go with larger options.

Brilliant new spot! - Edit
We have eaten here twice now and loved it both times. The masala chai is warm and sweet and worth a trip to snackwallah in its own right! We had maharaja's banquet - the first time we shared one, the second visit we had one each! Very tasty, the spicing is just right. Really genuine, friendly staff who explained they have only been open a few months. Nice colourful decoration. They have a special on the blackboard on the counter as well as the menu on the wall behind. There are some tables / stools just outside and 4 more stools inside. Busy at Saturday noon-ish, which is great to see a busy place, but the menu they have put together enables them to put meals together fairly quickly. They accept cards.

Thali Ho! - Edit
I visited recently during my lunch hour and was mightily impressed. I ordered the Maharaja’s Banquet, which included samosas, onion bhaji, bhel puri, pani puri and channa chat for £4.50. The thali of street food was fresh, vibrant and bursting with flavour. Staff are very friendly and I will definitely return again.

Unique food in Grainger Market - Edit
I have never had food like what’s on offer at Snackwallah, and I’ve never seen some of the dishes on offer anywhere else before. The food was cheap (probably too cheap!) but extremely flavourful. The chai was well spiced and came in a generous size but too sweet for my taste. The people were lovely as well, very friendly and helpful.
