All time favourite - Edit
$16 for a delicious sandwich that will keep you full all day. Can’t go past the Foghorn Legless. Love taking the egg salad home so I can make another sandwich. Cinnamon donuts are the best when they’re cooked all the way through. I still think about the egg and bacon (sausage) roll they used to make.

Cons: Sometimes the donuts can be undercooked, Not as many options as there used to be

Love the lunch plates - Edit
Love the sandwiches and canteen lunch plates. My favourites were the various curries and roasted potatoes though some of these seem to have changed now. Great value considering how big the sandwiches and meals are. So many delicious treats and snacks available too
Read morePros: All vegan, Lots of options, sandwiches or hot meals, Some GF options
Cons: Eating in can be a bit confusing/unclear, Needs more GF sandwich options, Bring back more of the hot canteen lunch options

Phenomenal Croissants - Edit
We stopped by Smith & Deli to pick up some pastries to go, and wow what pastries they were! We arrived just at opening, and there were not that many pastries available yet, but we got the croissant d'amande and a croissant version of a croque monsieur. Truly phenomenal! We also picked up a few chocolates from the shop.

Greatest vegan breakfast in the world! - Edit
This place in incredible! Vegan croissants made on-site, so many pastries and great products to buy. Also great toasted sandwiches and deli items like lemon fish and prawns - my favourite! Also sells a good range of vegan grocery items. One of the best places in Melbourne.

Delicious 😋 - Edit
The almost croissant was incredible!! So light and fluffy! The cheese toastie was delicious too and I loved the sprinkling of sea salt on top, I’d never think to add that but it was the perfect amount of flavour and crunch!

Impressive choice, but seems pretentious - Edit
The offer is pretty amazing here, with both deli and bakery items and hot meals. I popped in for a late breakfast/brunch, since this place was recommended to me, and had an almond croissant and truffle toasts (the Egg Martinez which I originally wanted was unavailable).
Read moreFriendly advice: if you are having the almond croissant, don't have anything else, you won't be able to eat it - the croissant is H-U-G-E! Definitely the biggest croissant I have ever eaten, with almond filling both inside and on top, and worth the 9-dollar price. I did not like it that much though, I am used to marzipan kind of a filling and this was more like an almond paste.
The staff seemed a bit pretentious, looking down on me, and also went a bit irritated when I asked for a printed menu instead of using a QR code. I was the only customer there, while the many staff members had nothing to do, and kept running around cleaning and rearranging things, which made me nervous. Also, the music seemed a bit too aggressive for me. Also, Sunday and public holiday surcharge, wtf??

It was my first time here and I loved it! I got a soy chai and I loved that you could adjust the sweetness when ordering! I also got the Reuben sandwich which was soooo good! Really big portion too. The canteen was closed when I went but I would love to try it next time. Really nice vibes

All around delicious! - Edit
We have been here for morning tea and lunch and the food is always delicious. The pastries are incredible and as a long-term vegan I am thrilled to be able to eat pastries and vanilla slice again! The hot and iced chocolates are good, and the lunch selections were great with generous portion sizes for a reasonable price.

Fantastic value for money, food is sensational and we loved the venue.
Read moreA main and two sides was $20.
The place has an awesome deli takeaway offering heaps of vegan deli style stuff and heaps of merch.
Definitely recommend for lunch, I would recommend eating in though and getting the lunch deal for $20 rather than just a toastie to go

I see what all the fuss is about! - Edit
I've wanted to come here for the longest time. I didn't have time to dine in so I grabbed some lunch on the go. I had the sausage roll and a cinnamon doughnut and grabbed a couple of things from the store for cooking at home. Everything about the sausage roll ($8) was on point!! The smell, the flakey pastry, the herbs and spices, the texture and the generous portion 🥰
Read moreThe doughnut was so fresh and moist and not overly sweet. It was also a good size for $5.
I need to go back and eat more! ♡♡♡

Product does not match price. Good food, but in light of all the online praise have found the food disappointing and atmosphere to be elitist and pretentious.
