This place no longer exists 🙁 - Edit
Visited this place last year and had a great meal, however, went to eat last night and it's all shut up and looks like it has been for a while. Such a shame.

prepared to order - Edit
I have been to SMAC both as a vegetarian and as a vegan, and every experience I've had has been great! It's quick, made to order Mac and cheese bowls -- what's not to love?!

Better than most - Edit
I wasn't expecting much, but their vegan mac and cheese was surprisingly good. I added spinach and mushrooms to try to fool myself into thinking it would be a little bit healthier. I was really hungry so got the second smallest size and it was way too much. My traveling companion really liked her non-vegan version. My only complaint is that all the plates and utensils were disposable, even though we ate it there. But I learned that this is very common in NYC. Little wonder they have a waste problem.

Cons: No real plates or utensils -- only disposable

Hot and Vegan Mac & Cheese Goodness. - Edit
On a cold and snowy day there's nothing like a steaming hot skillet of pure vegan goodness. That's what we found today at S'mac. We ordered the Vegan multi-pasta with 3 add-ons: Shiitake mushrooms, spinach with garlic, and the garden medley. The Shiitake mushrooms were very flavorful and a wonderful surprise.
Read moreYou can tell from the photo, this is one hearty dish topped with bread crumbs. The Major Munch skillet size is definitely enough for two. There may even be enough to take a little home with you too. We did!
Pros: Comfort food, Vegan! , Speedy service
Cons: None
