They know coffee! - Edit
Barista Stef knows a whole lot about coffee and will come over and talk to you about it if you want this. The coffees are top notch and all have their own story.
Read moreAlthough not everything is vegan, there is enough for vegans to enjoy a nice time here, especially if you look at the barren dry desert Ypres is in terms of vegan options.
There's also attention to detail and fair trade, ethical, environmental friendly and local products.
In short, must visit for any vegan that finds theirselves in Ypres. Would be five stars but that used to be reserved for 100% vegan places.
Pros: Coffee experts, Cosy spaces with coffee details, Vegan cake
Cons: Ieper has limited vegan options

Slowwings is the place to be to taste a vegan raw cake and drink a very nice cup of coffee. The owners are always friendly and in for a little smalltalk.

Very cosy and warm to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Great ambiance with jazz music. Very friendly and passionate owners always ready to explain and talk. Vegan latte and raw cakes are delicious.

We didn't want to leave Ieper without stopping by at Slowwings, as I've seen so much good things mentioned about it.

We didn't stay to have a drink on site, because there were heavy and noisy road construction works at the corner, and it was not very pleasant (must be really dreadful dealing with this, especially after already having been closed for so long bc of the lockdown ...)
Bought two vegan cakes to take with us, the last two available. They are from Vali Sweat is different.
The small raw vegan cakes were nice, but really expensive. 4,5 euro for such a tiny piece ...

Onze heerlijke Valitaartjes zijn een gezond gebak, zeg maar het beste van de natuur.
Valerie, raw pasty chef en founder, verwerkt pure passie plant power in haar fijne smaakbommetjes.
Bovendien zijn deze raw cakes lactose- en glutenvrij, en bevat geen geraffineerde suikers.
Deze raw pasty chef verwerkt in haar gebakjes 100 % natuurlijke ingrediënten, liefst onverhit (raw cake).
Dit is artisanale pure vegan patisserie, klein maar o zo fijn.
Onze klanten en Valifans geven nochtans graag iets meer daarvoor :-)

A Nice choice of vegan RAW cake . Also options in what kind of "milk" you want in your coffee . Vegan chocolate milk and biological limonade . Good start for a new coffee shop !
