Good intentions, lacking flavor - Edit
Arrowtown isn't abundant in vegan options so it was great to find Slow Cuts clearly labeled menu and knowledgeable staff. We had the veggie fritters and tofu burger - which is vegan with the turmeric bun. Both were pretty lacking in flavor unfortunately.

The best beetroot burger - Edit
There is only vegetarian burger on a menu, so you have to ask for vegan version. Unfortunately they have to change a bun for bread, but still this beetroot burger inside was the best we have ever eaten.

Vegan 'sandwich burger' - Edit
They can veganise the veggie burgers for you, swapping the bun for rye bread. It kinda becomes a sandwich, but i didnt mind it still tasted great (i dont think they offered me anything to replace the cheese though which is a shame). The bread gets soggy and messy though, so be prepared for napkins!

Had options of salads (3) and a couple of veggie burgers which could be done vegan. Had the green garden burger without the halloumi and when I mentioned I was vegan the waitress asked me if I was okay with it being on rye bread making me think that the normal bun wasn't vegan.

Read moreSlow Cuts do. They'll switch out the burger buns & a few other fillings to make their various vege burgers vegan which is great. It kind of becomes an open sandwich with the rye bread instead of being a burger but it tasted great & I appreciated the avo as a substitute for the cheese.
The smashed potatoes with house ketchup were great too. Friendly staff with good service in a clean cafe. Moderate prices.

Beetroot Burger Love - Edit
They offered me the vegan beetroot burger on rye bread which was lush and super filling. The smashed potato without cheese are vegan too. Also had a salad from the specials board with lentils and walnuts. Knowledgeable staff and quick, efficient service. Really enjoyed it there.

They have vegetarian burger but they can make a vegan option for you. The vege burger is big and delicious. One of the best I've had probably. Worthy to give it a go if you're in Arrowtown looking for vegan options. The services are brilliant and atmosphere is lovely.

They veganized the delicious betroot pattie burger by wrapping in lettuce instead of the bun. Salads are made from scratch so i had fresh asparagus and sprouts, etc. Pleasant background music and staff.
