Are there tons of options? No. But vegan breakfast options are hard to come by and if you’re looking for greasy, stomach-filling goodness, Slim Goodies is your spot.

Glad to have a vegan option - Edit
People love this place, but I'm afraid that it's better for non-vegans. I always get two sides: tofu scramble and hash browns, and even though it's good, it's not uh-mazing and it's $9. But I'm just happy that when my husband or family members suggest going there, it's not a begrudging yes because I do still enjoy the breakfast and the staff is always friendly :)

Funky place with a vegan option for breakfast - Edit
Breakfast is harder to find vegan options so I was glad to find Slim Goodies. There is one vegan dish for breakfast on the menu but they have tofu scramble so you can sub out or make your own breakfast with the various sides. They have non-dairy milks for coffee. I wish they had more options but appreciate they have some. Also it's a bit run down but I feel that they keep it clean so it's just a matter of the age of the place.

We were excited to eat here as it had great reviews and a vegan option for breakfast. Unfortunately we found the food quite bland and overpriced. The waitresses and atmosphere were great but we were disappointed by the food and a $70 bill.

Unseasoned & Bland - Great Drinks Tho - Edit
all the food was very unseasoned and bland, but the drinks are strong and delicious so after awhile you don’t notice the bland taste. Also, if you go to put your name down and they say “it’ll be about an hour” it’s going to be at least two.

Definitely a fun diner spot, but the food was nothing exceptional. Portion sizes were good, not too big or small, but over priced for what we got. A handful of vegan options, but the flavor was underwhelming. The service wasn’t great either - wish I had a better experience!

Visited for breakfast with my Omni family and we all found something we liked! I had the Garden Slammer. The food (and bathrooms) reminded me of Hard Times in Minneapolis.

Had a great tasting tex mex tofu scramble, then went back every day for a week - Edit
On our recent New Orleans trip, we stayed near Magazine St and I was overjoyed to find so many vegan options. This is potentially the best spot for breakfast in the whole city. Everything on their menu that can be substituted with tofu scramble and vegan bacon and smart balance is on the table to butter bread with. I had the tex mex scramble, with black beans, hash browns, veggies, roasted plantains, and tofu scramble (not enough nutritional yeast and turmeric for my preference, but salsa helped the flavor). It was delicious and a large enough portion size for two meals. My pescetarian partner was also satisfied with their cajun offerings, so omnivore friends will enjoy too!

Has some vegan options, good hangover food. Definitely diner food, some options are pretty greasy but sometimes that's what you need!
Read moreI've had good service here and terrible service, hit or miss. Some days they're super attentive but I've also been given my coffee in a mug that had lipstick still on it.
