The best of Norwich - Edit
I have been a Slice Dice regular for years now and still believe that they serve the best pancakes in Norwich! The food is incredible, portions are incredibly generous and the staff are so lovely and friendly. It’s a beautiful community. It feels like a home away from home and a perfect place to bring friends, every fussy meat eater I’ve brought here has loved the food!

A fun find - Edit
We searched for a vegan restaurant when arriving at Norwich late afternoon. We managed to get a table and were really impressed with the options available and the setup of the place. We hadn’t planned to play any games, as we were mainly just looking for vegan food but once we settled in we picked a game and had a lot of fun! Our youngest really wanted the Miso Aubergine but wasn’t keen on all the ingredients, the staff went out their way to cater to her needs and she was very happy with her meal. P.s. the Frickles are awesome.

Fun and relaxed - Edit
I'd definitely be supporting this independent vegan cafe regularly if I lived in Norwich. The staff member told me a few vegan places in the town had closed in the last few months.
Read moreI like that they're open late and you can get an alcoholic drink, so though it feels more like a cafe than a restaurant you can still go in for drinks at night, too.
The added board game hire is a great idea as well, as an option if you want it.
The menu has a good mix of options as well, and lunch time deals.

Good! - Edit
An all-vegan board game cafe! I had the miso aubergine bowl, which was pretty good, and a Jammy Dodger milkshake, which was great. I could have happily tried many more things on the menu. I didn’t have time to play any games but there were so many on the shelves and I heard someone working there offering to teach people games, and I wished I could! Lovely atmosphere.

Incredible! - Edit
I came here several times on a work trip to Norwich last month and every time the food was amazing! I love the concept (you can pay just £3pp for 2 hours of board game borrowing and teaching) and if I'd had more time I would definitely have done that too. Every meal I had was delicious but the Tofu Florentine from the brunch menu was just incredible. The staff were always so kind, friendly and helpful too. I wish every city had a vegan board games cafe like this one!

Good food but it was busy - Edit
Decent burger, although it was maybe less gourmet than the menu suggested, pancakes were fab, it was very busy and I think they may have been a staff member down, waited an hour for dessert. Huge selection of board games. (Random: would love to see this place on interior design masters, it’s fine inside just think it could sell itself better ) I would definitely go back x

Best milkshakes in Norwich! - Edit
I have played games and eaten in here many times. This is an epic space to hang out and the food is amazing!
Read moreThis time around we just stopped by for a milkshake. We had the Oreo and the strawberry. Honestly, their shakes are the best in the whole of Norwich!! I am a massive shake lover and try them wherever I go. Slice and Dice shakes are thick, creamy and bursting with flavour! A generous portion too!

Although the focus is on game playing ( they have lots) the food is really good too and not an afterthought. The ramen bowl was really tasty. Nice fruity beer too.

Friendly & welcoming vibes, knowledgeable staff, and delicious all vegan food😄 - Edit
Our first time in a board game cafe, and it was so good! It was just the two of us, and the member of staff (I am not sure of their name!) really helped us with recommendations and made us feel welcome (including bringing games over to our table that they thought we might like!). There was a really lovely atmosphere there and it seemed like everyone was just there to have a good time. We were there for 3 hours which I think should be the minimum you should stay, as it gave us time to play a couple of games (while also trying to figure out the rules on some of them)
Read moreFoodwise, we shared the bao buns (which were so so good) and the twice cooked fries, both of which were perfect to munch on while we were playing. I also had the azul mocktail which was very tasty!
If we are ever in the area I am sure we will be coming back, would recommend for sure if you are local and want to try out a board game cafe with a fully vegan menu :)

Game cafe with gorgeous vegan food - Edit
We love slice and dice, and its even better since they moved down the street to a bigger venue. We love coming here for the board games and the tasty vegan food. The vegan pancakes are amazing, and we've also enjoyed the savoury food we've eaten here. Staff are friendly and super helpful with explaining the rules of games etc. I would come here just for the food it so good!

Lovely space and food - Edit
We popped in here on our first night in Norwich (23/03/2023). Lovely space on three levels. Best chips I’ve had in a very long time, and huge burger. My companion had the noodles. All the food was tasty. Would visit again. We didn’t partake of the board games this time round.

Great food & board games! - Edit
The food was delicious - I had the Catan burger (a vegan patty, salad, and lots of vegan cheese!) with fries. Selected cocktails are £5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are pretty good. The board games were fun! Lots of variety on the menu, definitely want to go back

Relaxed and unique - Edit
Maybe not unique, but the first place I’ve been to where the plan is to eat and play games all afternoon! Very nice burrito with chips cooked to perfection, followed by a lovely banana milkshake. The staff are very kind - one chap spent ages explaining the rules of a new game to the table next to us. The vibe was very relaxed, had a really nice feel to it, and bright, light and airy premises

Great place! Make time for a game too. - Edit
We visited on Taco Tuesday, so had the tacos. The satay tofu was good too. But… what I really loved was the twice cooked fries and the milkshakes, I’d come back just for them! There’s a huge selection of board games and big tables so take some time, book a table, bring a friend or three and play a game too.
