Yum!!! - Edit
I ordered the coconut curry with vegetables- it was delicious! I also had a vegetable samosa and the classic naan which they made with coconut oil for me to make it vegan.

Best Indian food in town sometimes - Edit
This place has won awards for the best Indian restaurant in town and at it's best it's deserved. But I find the food really inconsistent. Eg. Sometimes the aloo palak is absolutely delicious and sometimes it's bland. I think it depends what chef you get on the day and it's really disappointing. Buffet is vegetarian and often vegan friendly which is a rarety for vegans. Prices are a little above what other Indian restaurants charge.
Read moreMy favorite dishes are Aloo palak, Dahl Makini, Chana masala, and the samosa chaat. They have the best samosas in Victoria (I've tried them everywhere).
Just about anything on the menu can be made vegan except for the paneer/ meat dishes. However, I warn you that if you order one of their general curries (not off the vegetarian menu) and you order the mixed veggies option (the vegetarian option in the general menu)- it's a very disappointing frozen veggies mix in curry. No matter how great the curry is, I can tell the veggies are frozen and just thrown into the sauce, not cooked with it.
Another inconsistency is they are nice enough to make you naan with coconut oil on top instead of butter- again sometimes. If you ask for vegan naan sometimes they give you generous coconut oil, sometimes a little touch of oil, and sometimes seemingly nothing at all on it. It's a shame because when it's done well the rosemary naan with coconut oil is to die for.
All in all, whenever I order here I'm not sure if I'm going to be happy or disappointed so I've taken to eating here less and less unfortunately.

Great vegan menu - Edit
Ask for the vegan menu, they’ll bring it out for you. This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Victoria! My favourite dish is the bhindi masala (okra, aka lady fingers) it’s delicious. They’ll also make the naan with coconut oil (not butter) for you.

Great Indian Restaurant in Victoria - Edit
I recently went for the all you can eat lunch buffet and found it to be very good. Plenty of vegetarian options. I've also been for dinner a couple of times before and found the food to be excellent. Probably my favourite Indian restaurant in Victoria.

Surprising amount of veg options - Edit
I find for easy Indian restaurants you can sometimes only get one or teo dishes made vegan but sizzling tandoor can do most of their menu items vegan. Delicious curry and side dishes make it a rare gem. Recommend - pomegranate curry
