Lovely setting - Edit
We thoroughly enjoyed a walk in Whinlatter Forrest and a stop at Siskins Cafe. It was lovely sitting on terrace watching the birds visit the feeders. The coffee was good and you can't beat a good old fashioned date slice.

Simple and tasty. - Edit
I like to have lunch here a couple of times when I'm in the area. They always have at least one vegan option, for example the Hummous and Roasted Peppers panini or baked potato topping. If vegan, it's worth mentioning when you order as one or two of the side salads have dairy. Servings are a decent size. Always has some vegan tray bakes, such as date slices, clearly marked with a v. This is the Lake District, so no free parking unfortunately. There are lots of walks, bike trails and play areas - it's a nice place to spend a couple of hours.
