Delicious healthy vegan counter-service - Edit
As we were driving through Roanoke, we found Sir Veganni on Happy Cow. The menu was simple and creative, and the food was delicious. I had the pineapple stir fry and my husband had the quinoa burger. The owner is very nice . He shared that Roanoke is behind the times when it comes to vegan food, so we were thrilled to find this place and happy to support their success.

This is truly a one of a kind restaurant. We veered off from our road trip to come here and it was well worth it. Highly recommended are the mushroom sandwich and the vegetable platter of cabbage, kale, and summer squashes. We enjoyed the blueberry banana muffins on the road.

1st time here. Free parking available in shopping center lot. Mushroom Monday Menu. I ordered the Buffalo bites - which were delicious. I also ordered their fried mushroom sandwich and I was not disappointed. No tables available but they do have a counter with stools where you could dine in if you choose. Besides the food, I also learned more about mindful eating and understanding what motivates their menu. Looking forward to coming back

We just discovered this restaurant! What a pleasant surprise. Great variety of delicious meals, sides, and desserts! Wonderful vibe with nice R&B music and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back to try different meals as they have a rotating menu each day keeping it fresh!

Amazing food with even better service. We stopped in a half hour before closing time and were greeted with a friendly smile at the counter. We ordered the macaroni and cheese x2, a Buffalo tender sandwich and Buffalo wings AND a slice of lemon cake. 10s all around for flavor. If you don’t try this food you are missing out. We will definitely be back!

Best filling vegan options in Roanoke. When you’re all “salad-ed” out this is it. The rotating menu allows me to switch it up and try something new each visit. & the batter and fry on those mushrooms…*chefs kiss*! So good I wanted to share with my non-vegan partner, but that would have meant less for me.

I didn't think the food could improve from the first time I went and had the spaghetti alla bosciaola--which was divine--but they're branching out a little bit and WOW! If I had to pick a favorite it would be either the fried mushroom sandwich or the buffalo bites - I can't pick just one. They're too good!

This is easily the best vegan food I have ever had. I went two days in a row but got four different full fledged entrees, each one was perfection. It’s hard to pick a place to start. The owner is there every day, handcrafting his recipes from scratch, start to finish. It is easy to slap an impossible patty on a bun and call it vegan, THIS IS NOT THAT. Rotating daily menu provides a variety of cuisine, all carefully chosen. Scratch recipes with incredible flavor, no GMOS, and it is an alkaline cuisine. Everything is seasoned and cooked to true perfection, and leaves out the excess salt that most joints require to get their food on point. I cannot stress enough that this food is the perfect marriage of flavor and health. Not only can you taste it, but you can feel it. Certainly the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had, tell me otherwise.

Delicious, home cooked, sophisticated vegan restaurant with a menu that changes daily. So glad to find this new all-vegan restaurant during our recent trip to Roanoke. I love vegan fast food too, but it’s so nice to have the choice of something different, fresh, and healthy. Everything made from scratch. They really, really know how to use flavors/spices in food. Owners are so friendly and welcoming. Will most certainly return on our next trip here. My sister, a meat-eater, was with us and she absolutely loved it.

We were excited when Veganaire finally opened; we had heard so many good things about the chef as well as the quality of the vegan food. We have picked up food several times curbside and have not been disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and as the name implies completely vegan. Our favorites thus far are the sautéed cabbage, squash, island curry chickpeas and quinoa burgers in gravy. Make sure you ask about their coconut cake. Roanoke is fortunate to have a restaurant serving food which is both delicious and healthy. We will be visiting again soon.

A Roanoke Gem! - Edit
My partner and I are passing through town, have been in Roanoke for about 3 weeks, and will be leaving in a few days. We knew we had to check out The Veganaire before we left. Vegan options in this town seem scarce so it was exciting to come across a 100% vegan business. And let me tell you, this food was INSANE. My partner and I both took a bite of the mushroom mac n cheese and WOW. We both silently looked at each other, mind blown. Greg, who I believe to be the owner, was incredibly friendly and passionate about his ingredients. This place is an absolute gem of Roanoke and I wish it nothing but success.
