Tasty food, helpful staff, convenient for opera house - Edit
Nice restaurant with good service, super convenient for the Opera House. We shared Tofu Tord to start with and then one of us had a curry and the other a battered Courgette dish. Other reviews have mentioned the lack of choice, it is a shame there weren’t more curry options, but for a non-vegan restaurant there were quite a number! Perhaps some of the dishes were a bit sweet, but we found them tasty, well presented and enjoyed everything we ate. Would return happily when next in Buxton

Not Great - Edit
The Pad Thai was too sweet (too much sugar), not enough tamarind served with lemon and not lime so it was completely out of balance. It also had vegetables that have no place in a Pad Thai. The Tofu version of Pad Kra Pao was average, tofu was soggy, too much sauce not enough Basil or Chilli. I wouldn’t eat here again as you can make better Vegan Thai food at home.

Tasty but limited options - Edit
Asked for vegan options by email as had to send a pre order. They said only 1 starter (spring rolls) and 2 mains (deep fried aubergines and yellow curry). No response when I asked if any other options in the vegetarian section could be made vegan.

We had a delicious meal here, large salad, soup, curry, crunchy tofu and spring rolls.

Really nice restaurant with a large vegetarian selection. I asked what was vegan on the veggie section and the staff said everything bar a couple of items, which to be fair, did state egg as an ingredient. Food was top.

Nice Thai restaurant - Edit
We had the vegetarian set meal for 2. Starters were nice and the mains were really good, especially the Thai red curry with tofu. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. I’d definitely go again if I’m in the area!

We stayed a few days in Buxton. Ate here twice.
Read moreAt night, staff were pleasant, veg curry was good.
The next lunchtime we were surprised at how poor the reduced menu was.
Only one vegan dish , lots of meat.
Staff did not seem to like it when we asked for chicken and beef to be replaced by tofu.
They did it, but were sour faced about it.
On the way out, we found chairs moved all over to accommodate them hoovering.
Won`t go again.

Delicious food - Edit
I really like Simply Thai. The food is delicious with a lot of choice for vegans. Lots of vegan starters and mains and at least 3 vegan salads and soups to choose from.
Read moreThe atmosphere is friendly and they have a special cocktail and piano evening twice a month.
I like spicy food but it can get pretty hot here, don't go above a "two chilli" unless you're really sure you can cope.
