Nope - Edit
Worst food I’ve had since being in Malaysia, unfortunately. Thai curry was extremely salty, and macaroni was extremely sweet. Was actually shocked at how bad it actually was, maybe I got unlucky with a clueless chef, but I won’t be trying it again.

The place that feeds me - Edit
I don't cook much at home so I come here pretty much everyday for lunch. Great selection of vegan options, friendly staff, good prices, quick service and if you come after 3pm you get 20% off your bill! Couldn't be better. Highly recommended!

Touching food with fingers - Edit
Fancy place, lots of vegan options, pure, healthy and organic ingredients, delicious food. But when they brought my food, the waitress grabbed the insides of the plates and touched my food with her fingers. This would be disgusting even normally, especially in a fancy place like this, but now we even have the ncov19 virus spread so it is even dangerous and so disrespectful! They may be washing their hands constantly, but how can I trust that, and why should I be forced to trust that?

Good space, beautiful menu, but the food is not delicious as it looks in the menu. We order drinks but they also forgot. Left with hungry stomach.

Signature Simple Life - Edit
I love this place. Their staff are super friendly. If you compare their menu to other Simple Life restaurant, you find they serve a more extensive menu and offers a slightly different selection. Their portions are alright with me. They are definitely crowded during lunch, best to avoid the lunch crowd if you can. Do join their membership for additional 10% discount with your contact number.

Left almost hungry - Edit
At Simple Life they have such an extensive menu, but my impression was that all the “interesting” dishes aren’t vegan. In the end I had some Udon noodles with veggies. They were good, but the portion was much too small. So I left almost hungry. Much too expensive for what you get, and the atmosphere isn’t very pleasant, too. It is in the Pavilion Shopping Mall, loud and busy (at lunchtime).

A vegetarian oasis in a city of meat - Edit
5 star for choice of food. I was beginning to despair at finding anything to eat as food so meat focused in KL. We had one of the set meals and sides of roti, battered mushrooms and dumpling. Was like a big picnic. Very tasty and only £15 for the lot. Only poor thing was service as no one came to take order so I assumed you went up and ordered at counter.

Food good; service not so much - Edit
Came here for an early dinner; the staff member who served us was really miserable, barely any acknowledgement other than the minimum conversation to take our order and no chance of a smile. That aside, the food was really good. I had a fried noodle dish that was really tasty (quite spicy by my spice level) - it reminded me of the yasai yaki soba I have in Wagamama in the UK, but with more spice. I also had a fresh mango juice and some spring rolls and the entire bill was around RM40. There is such a selection of vegan options that I would come here again, but would hope the staff are a little more cheerful next time!

Delicious, healthy food - Edit
I went to this place 5 out of my 6 days in KL so yes, I absolutely loved it. Four of those days I got the Toon Sprout Sauce with sweet potato noodles. The ginger/mushroom paste that it’s served is out of this world. I HIGHLY recommend this dish. Perfect amount of noodles and such variety in the dish. It wasn’t too oily and the vegetables had a bit of crunch to them (unlike most food establishments where veggies are over cooked and soft). On my last day I had the Canai curry with roti and a mango smoothie. Again - so good. That smoothie was THICK!
Read moreAll of the food is very filling and while it can be a little pricier than other food establishments it is worth every ringgit in my eyes.
The dishes are clearly labelled if they have egg but it’s a little hard to tell about the dairy. To order you fill in an order sheet with the code and quantity of the item and there’s a space for ‘remarks’, where I would write “no egg/no dairy” and I would always double check with them if the dish had any of those items.
Although the food does come out very quick, this place does get very busy so I can tell that it’s fresh. Props to them too for no longer serving plastic straws.
Get there between 3-6pm on Monday-Friday for 20% off your bill too.

3-6pm 20% off such a bargain - Edit
Go between 3-6pm and you get 20% off the menu which is amazing
Read moreAll the food we’ve had so far has been pretty good it’s nice to go there after shopping and exploring Bukit Bintang because it has aircon and free wifi
Recommend the Asian dishes so far we’ve had the roti, miso ramen, bean curd set dish and the fried black pepper udon!
It’s pretty good for a change up after travelling s/e Asia for a while because you can still get delicious Asian food but with a healthier twist and significantly less oil
Portion sizes are also quite large which is another added bonus

Mixed feelings - Edit
I had a noodle dish which was wonderful. Partner had the burger which looked and sounded amazing in the menu but unfortunately didn't live up to the expectations. Maybe the asian options are a safer bet.

Delicious, healthy and (relatively) cheap - Edit
I ate quite often at Simple Life in Borneo and always found it so-so... but this one in KL kicks ass! I think they simply have better chefs. Plus, even though it's in a mall, it's not the typical food-court-vibe, as it's actually a restaurant within a mall. Tried the Roti Canai (yum) and vegan sushi (yuuuuuum) and will 100% come back.

Will do if you’re really hungry and have no other options - Edit
Maybe it’s just me but the food wasn’t that good, been there couple of times because we stayed nearby and tried a few soups: they were all pretty bland and had too much broth for amount of noodle. If you’re vegetarian there are much better soups available in japanese foodcourt upstairs.

Simple Life delivers again! - Edit
I previously visited the Simple Life Classic outlet in Lot 10 and, with a good first impression of the chain, returned for more this time with my non-veg sister. I ordered the miso ramen with pumpkin/sweet potato noodles and dumplings. She ordered the miso ramen with green tea noodles and veg tempura. Both dishes were vegan so we could swap and share. We also ordered some green tea with osmanthus for two.
Read moreThe veg tempura was amazing; crispy and a nice golden brown. Not too oily and really complemented the miso soup base of our ramens. Most of the veg were was shimeji mushrooms though. Not a bad thing but both my sister and I agreed that a wider variety of veg would have been nice.
Both our ramens came with goji berries haha. I didn't think they added anything to the meals but my sister thought they added a nice sweetness that cut through the slight saltiness of the miso broth.
I really liked the texture of my noodles. They were springy like instant ramen, except without the sodium overload. The green tea noodles had a slight bitter aftertaste (because of the green tea) but it wasn't unpleasant. My sister wanted more toppings on her ramen but I thought the amount of toppings was adequate.
The dumplings were bomb! They were filled with tofu, cabbage, and mushroom. Really nice texture and a little bit of crunch from the cabbage.
Tea was slightly sweet and a little citrusy.
One thing I noticed when I visited the Lot 10 outlet was that the amount of noodles/toppings I got compared to the amount of soup I got was a bit too little. This was not the case at Simple Life Signature. It felt as though the meal was more balanced.
Definitely worth a visit!

Don't see it. - Edit
Had the A01, which seemed to be highly recommended by them, it isn't, it's quite boring. Pizza was tasty, but too small. Seaweed sushi did not have the crispy seaweed. Tasted a bit of their misosoup: boring also. Very underwhelming overall. Especially considering their price. Healthy and low salt shouldn't have to mean low in taste. Service could be better also.

Dissapointing - Edit
The menu is a bit sneaky so make sure you ask what is vegan. Which I did and the food was great. Also ordered a 100% pure mango smoothie which after about three sips they told me contained milk. I explained to them, You cannot call it 100% pure mango and put milk in it. It needs to be clear on the menu. He said that's just the way they do it. I was very dissapointed and only got a 10% discount. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

Varied menu - Edit
Simple life has a varied menu of tasty food. It’s always great to visit a dedicated veggie/vegan joint to try new things. Here I wasn’t disappointed. Although the menu was firmly aimed at vegetarian rather than vegan. The staff were moe than happy to guide me towards the vegan options.
Read moreThe food was tasty, and reasonably priced.
My only complaint is the fruit “tea” was overly sweet, which meant it wasn’t refreshing.

So delicious! Can’t wait to go back! - Edit
We kinda stumbled upon this place and were so happy we did. The menu was a bit overwhelming but the food was oh so good!!! Got A02 and the roti canai. Both got 5 stars but A02 was a bit on the spicy side. The sushi was good and hearty, we got the middle one. Also recommend the mango smoothie. The service and staff politeness was okay. Not great but not terrible.

absolutely love this place - Edit
Wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. The menu looks quite similar to beyond veggie (where I have had a few disappointing meals), so I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Staff are great and menu is extensive. Tom yam is a strong contender for the best I've had, 10 grain rice is filling and flavoursome, and the dragon fruit and pineapple smoothie (hold the milk) was soooo good. Also their miso is serious miso. 11/10

Great! - Edit
I absolutely loved all the food here. The food is very flavorful and not overloaded with salt or oil which I can really appreciate. They have lots of different options from vegan sushi, that is very good and more interesting than just cucumber maki. Also the fried organic beancurd is excellent.
Read moreService is great, ambiance is fine (all Simple Life's seem to be located in shopping mall centers so no natural light but that's ok). Overall, would highly recommend trying this place out if you want to try Malaysian or other asian foods without the oiliness that you find in most other restaurants.
Pros: Organic, Delicious, Clean
