Delicious Food, Large Portions, and lots of Vegan options

We had a great experience for take out, called and lady on the phone was very knowledgeable about what vegan meant. She assured us what dishes we could have and how she would put “no fish sauce” and “no egg” for certain dishes. The receipt was clearly labelled. The food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely reorder in the future.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good price for large portions, Knowledgeable Staff on how to make meals vegan

Cons: Vegan options not labelled on their menu

An overall good experience

It is sometimes hard to find vegan options at Asian restaurants because of the use of Oyster sauce, etc. But when I called the Silver Wok and asked if their vegetarian options could be made vegan, the owner was extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be removed to make dishes available for me. They have an extensive vegetarian menu and with some tweaks these dishes are made vegan.

I had Tofu General Tao which was sumptuous, as well as eggplant tofu, and fried rice with mushrooms. It was exactly the kind of Chinese food I was after and with good service too!

Not a five star because nothing was expressly labelled as vegan and it would be nice to not have to go through the whole process of confirming what is and what is not vegan. That said, it is a reasonably priced and delicious option for vegans looking for some Chinese food.

Pros: A large number of vegetarian options, Made fresh and easily adaptable, friendly staff

Cons: Nothing overtly labelled vegan
