Yes! - Edit
It’s more of a restaurant *~themed~* as a diner rather than a typical NJ diner. Especially in terms of the food, it’s not gritty like a typical diner, it’s definitely higher quality. Good variety of plant based options from sweet to savory. Love it here.

It's never too late for a great breakfast - Edit
Ordered the protein pancakes at 10 pm, and they were delicious! I also had some caramel cold coffee with whipped coconut cream on top, which was also fantastic.
Read moreThe diner was very cute and the service was good. They even had little jukeboxes on the tables. I would love to go back. Perfect stop on the road when feeling hungry late at night (or any time of day, of course). There was a good variety of vegan items, and you could feel that they really want to be able to offer good quality vegan foods.
I highly recommend this place!
Pros: Delicious food and good variety, Cute place, Breakfast is always available

A *healthier* but classic diner experience - Edit
I’ve been coming to the Silver Diner for years, and it never disappoints. You got all the greats of a Jersey diner (including jukeboxes at the tables that play for a quarter), just now with things like quinoa and butternut squash 😋 Tonight I had breakfast for dinner with the vegan oat milk protein pancakes. The blueberries and pistachios were a nice touch, and the almond milk whipped cream was so dang yummy! I also shared a delicious mocha cold brew shake. Highly recommend!!

Loved it - Edit
Good old school diner atmosphere but the food had an upscale look and feel. I had the Brussels sprouts and lentil and it was delicious and filling. Which was too bad because I wanted to try the Oreo mint shake but didn't have room.

Wonderful but limited vegan breakfast - Edit
The oat milk protein pancakes and just egg breakfast tacos were the only two vegan breakfast items, but they both tasted amazing! I would’ve tried one of the shakes too, but both meals were plenty filling.

Great vegan options for kids and adults - Edit
Vegan eggs Benedict was delicious. Server was happy to make the kids pancakes vegan with just egg. Server offered if we wanted something vegan to just ask and they can probably do it. Left with satisfied kids and adults.

Pistachio blueberry pancakes! - Edit
I hadn’t been over here in many years, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Silver Diner with great ratings on Happy Cow since I went vegan. They have really delicious blueberry pistachio pancakes with some non dairy whip and agave (sub for maple syrup), and they hit the spot! It’s rare in SJ to find diners that do pancakes, it was definitely a special treat. They have a huge menu and from what I saw do a variety of diets well.

Great diner - Edit
I usually get the breakfast Just Egg tacos or the vegan Just Egg Benedict. They have a good variety on their menu. More than most.
Read moreMy fav. is the Just Egg breakfast tacos. A lot of good flavors. I eat there often. The wait staff is great. The prices are a little high, but they are in line with the rest of the food on the menu. Typical looking diner and atmosphere.
I also usually get a side of breakfast potatoes cooked with onions/peppers. They are really good.
Pros: Good food, The breakfast potatoes are great.
Cons: For me- the distance/location, No vegan dessert(they do have 2 vegan shakes), pricy

I didn’t realize this old Jersey diner had made such a drastic shift in their menu/manifesto but was so pleased to find it out. The vegan black & white milkshake was lovely, the meatless tacos were bomb

Cute retro diner - Edit
They had a lot of options for vegans - we got the just eggs Benedict and breakfast tacos. Both were great! I liked that the tacos came with quinoa, which you typically wouldn’t see at a diner. Came here with non veg friends and they enjoyed what they got too, so there was options for everyone.

Plenty of vegan options - Edit
I was astounded by the number of vegan options available here. One dish was pretty good, and the other was bland. I would rate it as fair. Service was good. The Just Egg Benedict was good, but I really didn’t care for the Beyond Meatballs Mac N Cheese. I am willing to try other dishes, especially the oatmilk pancakes.

So many wonderful options. Everything was clearly labeled on the menu. And when I asked about the hash browns, the waitress kindly checked and came back with good information about their cooking process. I had the Just Eggs Benedict. I could have licked the plate.

Would’ve given 5 stars if it was possible. They have so many new vegan options! - Edit
I get the just egg Benedict which is so amazing, and then the hibiscus milkshake every single time - so good. They also have new tofu skewers, a roasted veggie ciabatta, pineapple basil stir fry, tofu banh mi, roasted tomatoes and veggies over rice, beyond meatballs Mac and cheese (with cauliflower instead of pasta), and a beyond miso burger which is vegan if you take out the sour cream, and then so many vegan sides too! I love the just egg Benedict so much I’ve never tried anything else but I’m sure it’s all good!
