DoubleCheck multiple times with server, often get wrong items - Edit

Food is fine, nothing special.
I attend a company Christmas party here every year and there are several people who have dietary restrictions and severe allergies. All of us who had to order dairy free/ egg free / meat free items had to frequently check in with the waiters that what was delivered was accurate and more than once they gave the wrong info on if there was dairy/egg in items and delivered mayo and cheeses to people who were allergic. This happens pretty much every year with ordering issues.
Totally understand they're busy and staff isn't trained- but this isn't a location you can trust to get it right the first time, make sure to check in at every stage of the food ordering and delivery. Appreciate that they have options at all!

Good vegan options - Edit

I’ve been here a couple of times. They have a few menu items that can be made vegan and they are pretty good and filling! I usually order the black bean burger tacos w/o cheese or sour cream

Good but not great - Edit

Several items that can be modified to be vegan. No vegan cheese (though they said the were working on it). One item (a special) was labeled vegan (but it came with red beans & rice which I've heard but not confirmed is not vegan).

It's okay for vegans now, but hopefully it will improve more.

Cons: Nothing much labeled vegan.

A local favorite - Edit

Every time he visits, my father-in-law insists we go here. He's an omnivore, but I'm vegan and my wife is vegetarian - everyone eats happily! Their tempeh is great, either on a salad or a burger, and they serve the Impossible Burger on either as well. My wife loves the tempeh Philly (vegetarian) to the point that every time she orders something else, she regrets missing out on it.

Pros: Great food, Cheap, extensive beer list, Right by the train tracks!

I don’t understand the bad reviews every time I visit Sidetracks the food is incredible especially the vegan selection service some times is slow but overall a great place to dine

even their vegan burger is amazing!! - Edit

Vegetarian and vegan burgers available, 3 or 4 different kinds, all are absolutely delicious!! The tempeh is surprisingly tasty and the black bean burger is another favorite. I drive a ways to eat here; worth it.
Also, their sweet potato fries and fried pickles are the bomb (beer batter is not vegan).
(Full disclaimer, this is definitely not a vegetarian geared restaurant, but the options they do have are really tasty!)

Nice bar-and-grill experience - Edit

This is one of my favorite places to bring visiting family- the bar and grill style of Sidetrack's is really friendly and lively. They mostly serve meat stuff, but they do have several yummy vegetarian options! Sidetrack's is famous for their burgers, and they don't leave us out of the deliciousness- there is a black bean burger and a portabello burger with the "meat" portion changed out for a huge portabello mushroom. (That's my favorite.) I'm not sure how vegan-friendly it is, since I'm not vegan, but I'm certain they can make accomodations.

Pros: delicious food, friendly staff, good atmosphere

Cons: noisy, fries are meh
