Great cheap vegan food

In a very calm atmosphere you can eat very delicious indonesian dishes. Dont hesitate to follow the signs when you get there, even when you think "This must be closed". It's open!

Very tasty and cheap

A little gem in Ubud! Too bad we found it only at the end of our stay in Ubud. We ordered a salad, Mie Goreng and Nasi Campur and loved it all. Really delicious and very cheap!!

Pros: Very tasty, Cheap

Cons: Difficult to find (go from the garden!!)

Hidden gem

First time we came looking for Siboghana in the evening, we didn’t find it, as you have to go through the parking lot to the secret back entrance which didn’t look promising on our 1st impression. Next day, determined, we explored further, all the way to the back, up the stairs, and found the quiet oasis of delicious cheap amazing tasty goodness. Got the salad: to die for, fresh and fruity; Nasi Campur: nice variety of fresh ingredients, red rice, curry and crispy fried bits. On next visits we tried mushroom sate (different & kinda weird, but a nice alternative to the mock meat variety) the Nasi meal again (so good!); salad every time; the mie goreng is less fresh than the other things we tried, pretty standard with thick sweet soy sauce; cheap big coconuts.. came back again and again!

Pros: quiet peaceful setting, good price, fresh high quality ingredients

Cons: nothing

eat here!

This place is amazing! The food is so good and made fresh (so it does take a little while) it's so worth it though. They take traditional Balinese dishes and make them completely vegan and super tasty! The prices are super low and the food is really good, go eat here! 💕

best, cheap, friendly

Cannot recommend this place more. Once I found it, I came back constantly until I had tried everything! I also did the cooking class which was tops. Lovely family, tasty food, good portions and cheap prices. Win win win win win

Must Eat Here

This place is a little of the beaten track and you essentially have to walk down a driveway and into someone's compound before you find it. The space is very peaceful with a number of artworks linning the walls and ceiling.

We were the only two people there and the service was a little slow but it is well worth the wait. The dishes we had were some of freshest most flavourful foods we have eaten during our stay in Bali. All the food is rich in local spices and produce making all the dishes unique. The prices are also really great and cheap for the quality of food you get. Much better than some of the more expensive places we had been to.

tl;dr Food is cheap and awesome. Don't miss out on eating here.

Pros: All vegan , local food , cheap

cheap, tasty, beautiful

This might be my favorite place to eat in Ubud. There are places as delicious (very) but the price/value wins here every time. Most items are 15-25k, which is about half what similar places run. I've been trying to save money by eating here but usually just end up ordering more than I would elsewhere and stuffing myself haha... that's how good it is! They will do takeaway as well if you ever find yourself in a similarly over ordered situation.

Ambiance is peaceful and lovely, staff is sweet. A bit slow sometimes but so worth the wait.

Favorites so far: sate jamu (mushroom satay), Balinese soup, and the turmeric drink ?

Everything is cooked in coconut oil and made from scratch! (allow time to cook)
Liquid palm sugar is used as sweetener for drinks.
Super cheap and yummy food, love the crunchy fried mushroom.

Pros: Mostly gluten free, freshly made, organic

A Wonderful Little Find in the Art District of Ubu

This ended up being our favorite place to eat in Ubud to which we went several times. It is located in the Pengosekan art district, setback from the touristy section of Ubud.
They have a small menu specializing in authentic Indonesian dishes, all well prepared. Food is a great bargain for the price-you cannot do better for your money than this place in Ubud.
Favorites: nasi campur (traditional mixed plate with steamed rice, vegetables, few fried goodies, tempe)
kare: coconut curry
mushroom satey
tempe special
Would have been nice to know how this art community came to be vegan. It seems they are health vegetarians, committed to eating well. If you go with someone who speaks Balinese or Bahasa maybe you can get to the bottom of it.

Pros: excellent Indonesian food, cheap, pleasant staff

Cons: limited menu selection
