Really good - Edit
Felt compelled to write a review bc the reviews of this place aren’t that strong for vegan options but we beg to differ. The food was great. The servers know exactly what is vegan or can be vegan, and won’t guide you wrong. We loved what we had. A great option in Bar Harbor!

Excellent options for a hungry vegan - Edit
My wife and I ate here twice as we could actually have different items and get some vegetables. All four meals were excellent and the service was great. For vegans staying in a town dedicated to seafood it was comforting to have some options besides an impossible burger.

Pud Thai - Edit
Their rendition of pad thai was delicious, if you don’t like heavy egg flavor in Asian food (me), just ask for no egg! Their tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with the perfect amount of flavor. Their crispy rolls were also delicious. I recommend sitting inside as the outdoor seating was very uncomfortable.

fine, not great. - Edit
other reviews mentioned tofu triangles and tofu dumplings, so we chose to try them. both are just ok, would not recommend either. also ordered yellow curry with tofu and tom kha soup with tofu. both were fine, not something i'd order again. the vegan items on the menu are not marked as such; the service was good.

Tasty Thai - Edit
Excellent curries! We ordered the red and yellow curry rice dishes with tofu and both were full of flavor and very fresh. For an appetizer we had the tofu triangles and the peanut sauce is amazing. Even though the restaurant has omnivore fare the servers know what vegan is and make the food properly which in itself makes this a lovely place. Definitely worth a dinner trip!

Great vegan options - Edit
My vegan daughter and I slipped away to eat while the rest of the family dined on seafood. We were ravenous after a full day of hiking in Acadia. This restaurant was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We had tofu spring rolls and veggie dumplings for appetizers. Both were quite good, but the dumplings were some of the best I have eaten. We then had curries with tofu and veggies. The spicy red curry was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My daughter had the Masaman which she also really enjoyed. There was also a blueberry margarita that we shared and loved. This was our favorite meal in Bar Harbor.

Good vegan option, but skimpy with tofu - Edit
Our meal here was tasty but I thought the portions of tofu were way too small for the price of the meal. I ordered the tofu & broccoli entrée and it had 5-6 pieces of tofu

The menu is large, so something for everyone. I had the red curry, with tofu as the protein. Beautifully spiced. Helpful and attentive service.

So many vegan options and choices that can be made vegan. Got the tofu drunken noodles without egg. Staff was amazing even though they were short handed and couldn’t do dine in service.

Good Thai - Edit
Even though the menu stated that most things could be made vegan and gluten-free, The waitress couldn’t explain why some of the dishes were not gluten free, so I chose the Red Curry since it was labeled as such. I think it’s important for servers to know what is in the food they serve. Otherwise, it was a nice experience. The red curry with tofu was good.

The food was decent. Very accommodating when asked to make vegan! A bit pricey, but it was pretty good overall! Good option for vegan Thai food if you are in the area!

OK, I guess - Edit
The staff was nice and the atmosphere decent.
Read moreThe tempura vegetables were great.
The rest....well, it was well prepared, but lacked taste. Like, it was about 1/4 as tasty as most Thai food. (I don't mean spice, I mean flavor.) It actually tastes good, just weak.
Speaking of spice, I didn't find any. Their normal level of spice in drunken noodles (called "beginner") I would call "what spice?"
Also, the rice was indistinguishable from my decades old memory of Minute Rice.

Pros: Standard Thai vegan options., I'm adequately fed., The curry doesn't have fish sauce.
Cons: Doesn't really taste much., A bit over priced.

Not the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but they can veganize a ton of the soups and noodle dishes! Plus they have veggie sushi options.

Just okay - Edit
Not the best Thai food I've ever had, and the portions are really small for entrees. That being said, there are tasty sides (spring rolls, tofu squares, vegan sushi) and they are really knowledgeable about customizing vegan dishes.

The Pud Thai was amazing, and the red curry was great too. Even though the joint is unfortunately not fully vegan (hence the four stars) it might be the top ‘vegan’ restaurant in town because everything can be accommodated. Might go back tonight (;
