Great vegan food, great prices - Edit
The menu is simple, the food is tasty and fresh, and the prices are much more reasonable than the insanity that's taken over every restaurant (especially vegan!) these days. No staff (other than the ppl making the food). Go in, order on the touchscreen. Good rewards program too. I really like this place.

Shouk is fantastic. The appearance from the outside is lackluster and might make you think twice, but choose to come inside instead! The flavors were outstanding and the ingredients seemed fresh. The employees were friendly as well! Another review said that this place has gone downhill... if this is downhill, then wow it must've been other-worldly before.

Everything was great - excellent, tasty falafel with lots of sauce and a soft pita wrap. Got fries and ceasar as well, both awesome. Friendly staff as well.

This branch is in a very nice location in Georgetown, so lovely to walk around this neighborhood! It has tables inside and outside and you place your order using a screen, no contact with staff needed. They have several options of sandwiches, bowls, and sides. I chose the Fried Shouk'n bowl and it was really good! It consists of oyster mushroom schnitzel, green cabbage, pickles, and harissa mayo. You can choose if you want it with rice and lentils, with salad, or both. Everything was very tasty, I loved the combination of the fried mushrooms with the sauce! Crunchy and fresh. They have two options of dessert: Malabi, which is a coconut milk pudding, and the Choco-Cardamom Cookie. I tried both of them and they were good, but nothing too special. I was craving something sweeter after the bowl and the desserts were a bit bland for my taste. But I would definitely recommend this place, the portions are big and the prices are fair. They have several locations in DC, so find one nearby and pay them a visit!
