Love the amount of vegan options they have, and that they are all clearly labeled. In Southampton, this is easily the best Chinese takeaway for vegans! If they had delivery, I’d be on my knees worshipping them!

Generous choice of vegan Chinese/Cantonese food. After not really eating this food for 3 years it was a really pleasant surprise to find a vegan version.

This place has a surprisingly extensive vegan menu, which includes THE BEST salt and pepper chicken I’ve had, a tasty Malaysian dish and some big yum chicken balls (get your mind out of the gutter! My goodness, there’s children around for Christ’s sake! You’ve always gotta ruin these wholesome reviews with your toilet humour. I get enough of it at work and you should know this by now. Extremely disappointing behaviour).

If I could rate this 5 stars I would. The staff here are great and know their menu so well! The vegan dishes are clearly labelled, but they’re very good at making your other favourites vegan too if they can! I’ve gone back time and time again and the service is always amazing. I’ve never been able to find another Chinese takeaway with vegan options like this!!

I’d give 5 stars just to the sweet and sour “chicken” balls - Edit
Found this place through happy Cow but it is nearly half an hour away from our house so took us a while to get the timing right. But OH MY DAYYYZZZZ!!!! Sweet and sour chicken balls were my go to and I have missed them since going vegan. These were so amazing, they’ve changed my life. We also got rice and crispy chilli “beef” and that was great but I would go back just for the “chicken” balls alone. They are worth the journey.

This is my local Chinese and I feel so lucky. Not only their food is delicious but the service is truly excellent. It is worth every penny.
Read moreAs a con I put that they cook their chips with meat products, but as a pro I must add that when I called to place and order and asked for vegan this vegan that and chips the lady said: the chips are not vegan as cooked in the same oil as other items. I think this just shows how great is their understanding of vegan food.
I cannot recommend them highly enough!!

This is a takeaway. What's slightly annoying is they do only accept cash. However, there is a cash machine at the shop next door. The lady at the desk who served us what really helpful. She highlighted items on the non-vegan menu that were also vegan friendly. I ordered the mock chicken curry with boiled fried rice, whilst my partner ordered the sweet and sour chicken. We shared some fried rice and chow mien. All were excellent. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be ready.

I haven't had a Chinese takeaway in over 18 years so I'm happy I finally have a vegan alternative. I would have given 5 stars if HappyCow permitted it. Note, that the prices on google aren't accurate. They've increased in price and a meal for 2 will probably set you back around £15 - £20. We both preferred our meals over Shanghai 1814, which also do lovely vegan Chinese food in Southampton city centre.

Great Chinese food with an extensive vegan menu - Edit
Been here a few times now, their vegan menu is impressive, and everything we’ve tried so far has been wicked.
Read moreService is always great, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable on vegan food. They have more vegan dishes than shown on the menu, so it’s always worth asking if you want something in particular!
Definitely recommend the lemon/orange chicken and king prawn curry.
Would give 5 stars if Happy Cow allowed!

Very good Chinese food - Edit
A good option for Chinese food if you are in Southampton. I loved the satay ‘chicken’ skewers. The mock chicken in the Szechuan sauce was not super realistic but it was tasty and did the trick. I’m glad they could provide noodles and rice too, some takeaways do not offer this option.
