A bit confused but its got the spirit

Asian supermarket in central Düsseldorf. Has some marked vegan options mainly at the instant ramen section as well as a couple of other products. When I asked what the difference in the labelling is between "veggie" and "vege" in the Onigiri section I was met with a bunch of confusion and when asked if the latter meant vegan I was just told that well "it doesn't contain meat". So one maybe needs to be a bit cautious.

gute kennzeichnung

typisches asiamarkt-angebot. vegane produkte sind sehr gut gekennzeichnet, was vor allem dann praktisch ist, wenn man die schrriftzeichen nicht lesen kann. wirklich besondere sachen gibt es aber nicht.

Amazing Bento

Store is not big, but has a huge variety of items. If you're willing to read labels, lots of vegan goodies can be found. They have small ready-to-eat items like tofu salad, gyoza and oringini, but the bento is amazing! You can eat it on the benches in front of you want.

Pros: Vegan bento, Lots of interesting items, Affordable

Cons: A lot of non-vegan items, Fresh fish counter, so prepare for fishy smells

Japanese dream store for vegans

It's a relatively small grocery store in Little Tokyo and it's a little bit more expensive than the others but it has such an immense range of vegan products to eat right away or take home, some of which I didn't even know existed. I bought vegan Kewpie mayo (!!), different kinds of high-class instant ramen and rice cakes but there was so much more. We also got some of the deli foods that were all sooo good. They have grilled sweet potatoes, freshly made bentos, sushi, small snacks like korroke and onigiri (everything in vegan and non-vegan versions) and deserts and they also have a microwave to heat up your food if you want to.

Super friendly and helpful staff too!

CN alcohol:

they also sell magnum bottles of sake and have a big range of low to high price sake for those who enjoy that.

Pros: Sooo many vegan options , Incredibly delicious snacks and bentos, Lovely staff

Cons: Little expensive but still okay, -
