Sizzler Thursday

We went to the Shoal Hill Tavern it has a busy but comfortable atmosphere, it is recommended you book a table as it can get very busy. They have an extensive menu with a section for vegan and vegetarian. These include a good choice of starter , mains and desserts.
They also offer specials on particular days eg pie or sizzlers. We went on sizzler Thursday, where they offer a dozen sizzler meals, mainly meat based.
However there were two vegan options, chicken less chicken or cauliflower bites. It comes on a sizzling wooden platter of onions peppers mushrooms, a choice of chips, rice or half and half, the portions are generous, and it well presented. The cauliflower bites were fantastic I would throughly recommend. Certain areas of pub are dog friendly and in the summer there is a large outside eating area, it is located on Cannock chase and has a large carpark.

Pros: Generous portion size, Sizzler dish freshly cooked, Dog friendly

Sad effort for vegans

Nut roast awful. Was 95% rice
Mushrooms pate was OK but came with 1 tiny slice of toast for 6.50 and the manager argued and argued when I asked for.another slice.
I would give this place a miss...
