Serves meat, vegan options available. Pub with labeled vegan menu options including mains and dessert. Open Mon 16:00-23:00, Tue-Thu 16:00-00:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-14:00, Sun 12:00-23:00.
had eaten at shinners before and really liked the food, i had one of the best vegan burgers here a few years ago! unsure if the menu change is a new thing or regular thing, but menu was very different this time around. we ordered the sticky cauliflower to start which was sooo delicious and flavourful. if they were just a bit crispier it would have been perfect. i ordered the red onion and carrot bhaji burger for my main, which was also yummy but i think it was slightly burnt/charcoal and i think i was really craving a meat alternative burger. nevertheless, still a yummy meal out.
Really tasty Sunday roast - mushroom and spinach wellington with a tomatoes gravy and trimmings. I loved this place, such a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
I had the vegan moving mountain's burger which was one of the best burgers iv ever had, the patty looked and had the same texture as beef and tasted even better, it also had avocado on it which made it that much better, it was 11 pounds including chips on the side, would highly recommend this burger! My friend ordered a real chicken burger and it was undercooked so maybe stray from that but i can't recommend the plant based options enough!
Handy location on Sutton High Street, a short walk from railway station. Really nice interior decor, retaining the tiles and ceiling decorations of Sainsbury's, the original premises. Friendly staff. Had nice vegan Sunday lunch – butternut squash Wellington with vegetables and gravy followed by sorbet (choice of raspberry or blood orange). The vegan lunch is the same price as the vegetarian lunch, but there doesn't seem to be anything to compensate for the Yorkshire pudding which vegetarians are given. There are also vegan options during the rest of the week. Full marks for providing free sanitary protection in the women's toilets!
Nice pub which always has a choice of vegan options on the menu, it’s all freshly prepared and delicious . They even have vegan desserts . Love this place !
