Hidden Gem for Japanese and Chinese Food - Edit
Surprisingly the food here is good and the menu is very extensive. Even the vegan option is not clearly stated, the staff there is able to advise.
Read moreThe Thai style fried vermicelli tasted good with wok hei even my family loves it! The yuen yang noodle we ordered was good as well. I seldom see eggless yuen yang noodle and they made it just nice with flavorful taste.
The sushi and tempura items were nice as well.
I would definitely come back to try this place if possible.
Pros: Extensive menu with vegan option
Cons: Vegan option is not clearly stated

Great sushi and bento! - Edit
Great find! We ordered enoki (mushroom) sushi, edamame, fried pumpkin and a bento box. All plates were delicious and really well priced. I would recommend this place if you are after some nice vegan sushi/Japanese food.

Sushi with lots of vegan options - Edit
Shin Yu Japanese and Chinese Vegetarian is a restaurant with a long experience with making sushi. This is visible in their creations, which are very nice, beautifully arranged, and tasty.
Read moreThe interior of the restaurant could be a bit nicer, if you are interested in a romantic evening with a perfect ambiance, there are better places. (Don't ask about their restrooms). If you want to eat tasty sushi, this is the place to go.
The restaurant is near the end of Jalan Mahkota, opposite Maybank, right beside the Public bank branch. Entering the side road to park in front of the restaurant can be a little difficult, and navigation systems might have troubles guiding you there.
They have a number or vegan sushi offerings, and some vegetarian ones that can be made vegan. Especially the Enoki Maki (mushroom) was outstanding, but most of the sushi that I tasted were delicious. (Was not too convinced by the "Salmon" sushi, but then, I have not had dead fish for a number of years). The Mango maki was a bit sweet for my taste, but otherwise also very good.
The only point of criticism for me is their drinks menu. The so-called juice drinks are more sugary syrups with ice water (or milk, as is unfortunately common in many Chinese restaurants), similar to bubble tea syrup.

Pros: Very nice and tasty sushi, Many vegan options, Moderate prices
