BEST Vegan-Attentive Wait Staff!!

Okay I have a LOT to rave about here but let me start with the falafel - perfectly spiced and delightfully crispy on the outside, it was soooo flavorful and delicious gahhh!! The mushroom hummus was ALSO delicious and incredibly creamy, and the hot fluffy pita, thick muhamarra, and creamy pear ice cream with no dearth of fruity twang were similarly kickass. But best of all, our waiter starred EVERY vegan dish for us personally in black ink and went above and beyond to accommodate! 🙏 I have never had such a vegan-attentive waiter and I don’t want to go back!!!

Pros: Food, Wait staff, Ambiance

Cons: Israeli salad not great

Gem away from French Quarter

I’ve been to many tapas restaurants, but this is the best so far. Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to clearly name the vegan options. He wasn’t sure about the beet dish, but went & asked for me. I was eating with a bunch of omnis and he made sure to start the vegan plates next to me rather than at the other end of the table. I tried the Baba Ganoush, Moussaka, cauliflower hummus, tahini hummus, beets, pickles, pita bread with olive oil & zatar, and had a falafel sandwich all to myself. The “unlimited” made-from-scratch pita bread is absolutely incredible- pillowy soft and a little crisp on the outside from the wood oven. The only miss was the fries, which might have been great if they were served hot, ours were all barely warm, but had a nice seasoning on them. Honestly, not the best falafel I’ve ever had, but everything else was perfection. Unique cocktail and soft drink menu as well (we had the Tahitian and hibiscus iced teas, and several cocktails in our group). We were too stuffed to finish our food and brought lots home. No vegan desserts were listed. Service was outstanding. Decor was beautiful. We sat inside but the back courtyard was very pretty. I’d go again on a future trip to NOLA.

Artisinal Delicious Vegan Mediterranean Options!

Everything was expertly prepared, chef level layored flavors. The Moussaka dip was more of a deep rich tomato salsa, so delicious that we added another, the cauliflower hummus was the highlight, nothing like it, felafel had subtle herb highlights, salad was decent.

Pros: The Cauliflower Hummus and Moussaka, The waiter carefully showed us the Vegan Options, Happening place, make resos as we had to sit @ bar

Cons: The second/ third courses took forever, but worth , Pricier than typical vegan fare, but worth it

Good food, limited options for an actual meal

The vegan options weren’t marked, but the server knew what all of them were right off the bat and was able to point them out to me. The food was quite good, but there was really only one option if you wanted an actual meal, which was the falafel. The hummus and pita were both fantastic, though!

Pros: Knowledgeable staff

Absolutely delicious and flavorful food on cute Magazine street

My meal here was so delicious! Everything was sooo flavorful and packed with spices, and tasted very fresh, a welcome diversion from the usual New Orleans fare. Our server was very knowledgeable and pointed out every vegan option on the menu (and there were a lot). Though the prices are a bit steep, everything is made to be shared so if you order right it’s not so bad. The hummus with grilled eggplant and fresh pita was delicious. The shakshouka without poached egg was also amazing. Beware though! The baba ganoush has sour cream! So sad! The place is clean and cute and it located on magazine street which is really fun to walk around! Definitely worth a visit!

Pros: Fresh flavorful food, Knowledgeable servers , Many options

Cons: A bit pricey, but big portions

Delicious Israeli cuisine

I recommend making a reservation — you can do it online through their website. Their fresh pita bread is delicious, and many of their mezze and small plates are vegan. They also offer vegetable crudités for dipping. Will definitely be back!

Pros: Fresh bread, Unique vegan options

Cons: Small portions
