Nice Japanese set - Edit
They only have one vegetarian set. It’s a sushi restaurant but they don’t have the veggie sushi anymore. Well, at least better than nothing.
Read moreThe Japanese set allows you to try many different small dishes. Staff are friendly and nice. Food serve fast.

tasty - Edit
we went here and didn't have to wait for a long time Maybe bout 5 min. I asked bout no dashi or katsuoboshi and it was safe to order the vegetarian meal. The food was tasty but not the best i had in Japan. So I'm not sure if i should recommend this place for what you pay...

Best food on our Japan trip - Edit
This was the best food in our Japan trip and I really recommend visiting the place. The set was so delicious and I loved all the different plates and flavors. I really liked everything in it. The inside of the Restaurant ist very comfy, the Service was very friendly and spoke perfect english. Make Sure to come early, they might be sold old and close earlier.

Touristy spot, still delicious - Edit
They have one vegetarian option which doesn't seem to include any animal products. It was a filling and delicious meal to which they served some very nice green tea.

Amazing sushi/tempura 🍣😋 - Edit
I was lucky. I went here during corona so I could get a seat in the evening without problems. This place is so busy now people are lining up. And they said they don’t take any reservations. It is advised to be there before they open. First come first serve.

Amaaaaaazing! - Edit
The vegan option was amazing! While it was pretty pricy (3000 yen per main set meal) you get a really fair (and amazingly diverse) amount of food and it’s incredibly delicious. This place and la Luce are your best options in kawaguchiko for a full, uncompromised vegan dining experience. You’ll want to start lining up before they open as by 6 (the time they swing those doors wide open) there’s already a line to get in. We arrived at 5:50 and were 7th in line, so we were able to get a seat once the doors opened but others behind us weren’t so lucky.
Read moreThe meat is prepared in front of you if you’re seated at the bar so if you’re worried about that then it’s probably not your vibe. However, you’ll be hard pressed to find much more vegan friendly restaurants in kawaguchiko.
An absolute must stop if you’re in town and have been living off the plain rice bowls at 7/11 and need some flavour in your life. 😁
Pros: Vegan set meal, Restaurant aesthetic, Customer service

Closed Super early - Edit
Hate giving stars when i haven’t eaten somewhere. Had a long day, banked on eating there but they were not seating anymore by 7:20. 40 minutes before posted closing time. I get it they do the same thing where i live but its hard in a tourist time with limited options.

Vegan sushi & tempura at Lake Kawaguchi - Edit
There aren’t many vegan options at Lake Kawaguchi, so this place can save you from starving. The food is nice and the location convenient, but the menu is too expensive. (Vegan food in Japan is often overpriced, but this was a little too much in my opinion).

Best sushi around! - Edit
Fantastic sushi and excellent customer service! Only four vegan options, just order all of them it's worth it. The sweet potato and avacado roll was heavenly! The staff speaks English, takes credit card, and does take out. If dining in, highly recommend you make a reservation.

Nice location just across the road from Kawaguchiko station with multiple vegan options. They sometimes have vegetable stock so can prepare soups for you or can suggest alternatives for the set menus.

Best sushi in 🇯🇵 - Edit
Vege/Vegan options available. Staff were super friendly and understood our dietary requests. Sushi was fresh and immaculately presented. We have eaten at about 5 sushi places in our 2 weeks throughout Japan and this one (so far) takes first place. Very well priced and across the road from the train/bus station.

Excellent modern Japanese restaurant - Edit
Avoided the Mount Fuji ascent and instead visited this wee town on the edge of the "five lakes"; Boat tour and cable car to the top of the hill are basically the main attractions. Unfortunately it was pouring cats and dogs

Very good sushi - Edit
This place offers a very tasty set of vegetable sushi in combination with other small dishes. Tell them what you want to eat and which ingredients you want to avoid so they do not use fish or egg. The staff and the chef are helpful and speak English. This place opened in March 2019.
