Great for Raw Vegan!!! - Edit

Carrie the owner is super sweet. She can custom do orders if you request them and all of her food is GF and Raw Vegan. Overall the food tastes great and is healthy.

Great raw food items are available at a local Jacksonville restaurant chain -- European Street cafe. Definitely best raw food in Jacksonville.

The body is gone but the food endures! - Edit

Shakti Life Kitchen used to exist as a restaurant near the beach -- a raw restaurant gamble in the BBQ & burgers-loving Jacksonville that, most unfortunately, did not work out. The raw and vegan communities wept when they closed.

Not to be discouraged, the chef and owner promptly started a delivery service to continue selling her delicious, healthy raw creations at local groceries: Native Sun and Grassroots predominantly. You can also find many of her dessert items at the various European Street Cafe locations around Jacksonville.

The food may seem a bit pricy, but only the best ingredients and a TON of work go into preparing Shakti's creations. Spanning the gamut from quick snacks and side dishes to main courses to decadent deserts, there is something for every occasion to be found!

...If you can find it! Both Native Sun and Grassroots are notorious for running out of their items on busy days as the food is extremely popular (for good reason). Most items will keep several days in the fridge, so don't be afraid to stock up if you find something you like (my wife loves their raw chocolate mousse).

If you have never tried "raw vegan" food, Shakti's delicious creations are the best way to introduce yourself to this health style of "cooking". Try some the next time you are in Native Sun or Grassroots, or splurge on a tasty slice of raw cheesecake after a meal at European Street Cafe.
