Yummy - Edit
When we were there they offered burger (with vegan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes 🤤) and some kind of asian zucchini-tofu-thing. Both were delicious! Menus in French, but staff could communicate in English.

Great place and concept - amazing location - owner doing this by conviction! - Edit
The location is amazing. Having a drink and dinner watching the sunset over the Mont Blanc valley, priceless!
Read moreOwner was trying his best to manage clients and orders. We all felt sorry for them as this was the season’s opening and they were only him and the chef as staff… the meals were nice and we had a great discussion with the owner when things calmed down a bit.
Pros: Daily vegan menus, Nice traditional menu, Nice cocktails and desserts
Cons: Felt sorry as short staffed

Absolutely delicious vegan food - Edit
The menu changes so it’s always different, but we had this sweet potato tapas that was probably the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten (similar to patatas bravas) and a tofu bowl with zucchini noodles that was super delicious. Definitely the best vegan food I’ve had abroad so far! (I’m from NJ, USA on vacation!) It’s a small place so definitely recommend making a reservation and being patient but it is worth it!

Small menu but that was definitely an advantage as there was a focus on quality of what was available. There are 4 mains, 4 types of tapas and a range of sides.

Good for Chamonix - Edit
Venue is not particularly large and has more of a cafe feel. Good food, some interesting flavours and choices. They have a few daily dishes as well as the regular menu. In a town where the vegan options are very limited, it’s great this place exists.

Beside 2 dishes out of 20, the offer is 100% vegan and organic. In addition, the 2 meals that contain either goat cheese or egg, can be replaced by vegan feta cheese. All desserts are vegan. I am sorry to hear that you have not felt welcoming. What happened exactly? Thank you Nicolas, the owner of Sesame.

Really great meal, lovely place - Edit
If you are in Chamonix this is the place to go. We had a really great meal, in the style of Ottolenghi. We had the trio starter with houmous, babaganoush and guaqamole with very yum homemade crackers. Then one of us had the soup of the day. A delicious vegetable soup with carrots and onion, thick and creamy. The other one had Aubergine Parmegiano which was delicious, soft and rich aubergine served with a tasty salad.
Read moreThey also sell lots of cold pressed juices, smoothies etc. The price was good, not cheap but in balance with the quality, well worth every penny. Don’t hesitate: just go!
Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff

Some of the best food I've tasted - Edit
I've visited Sesame 3 times during my trip to the area and I have been blown away each time.
Read moreEvery dish I ate I could tell how much care and effort is put into the food here, and when I spoke to the staff, I was told that everything is made from scratch. It shows.
It makes a big difference when food is treated like it is in a place like Sesame, and when the chefs are able to combine the many wonderful ingredients that nature has provided us in such a skilled way.
First, I had the courgette pesto tagliatelle which was really nice, and decided to get the raw cheesecake which was an absolute delight. It was light and creamy and incredibly tasty. Not too sweet and not too rich.
In the evening I returned and had the portobello mushroom burger, and it was this that most impressed me. The sauces complimented the soy-based burger and mushroom really well, and even the salad was tasty and well put together.
I had a side of baked sweet potato wedges which came with a creamy mushroom sauce and shock I loved this also.
Of course afterwards I had the cheesecake again, and again it went down an absolute treat.
I returned again and decided to have the other burger made with cereales and herbs. I also had the babaganoush and hummus platter, and a 'golden latte'. Once again, I was blown away by how tasty and well put together the food was.
The staff were warm, friendly and happy to have a chat with me about the food and the restaurant in general. I felt welcome and looked after the whole time. I also saw how passionate the guys were about what they were doing at Sesame, which comes across in abundance in the food they produce and service they provide.
Another bonus is the upstairs area which is really pretty and comfy, and has plenty of power sockets.
It was an absolute pleasure to spend my time and money at Sesame. Their restaurant is as good an example as I've seen of how plant-based cooking should be done. Healthy, diverse range of options, full of flavours which compliment one another well, and made with a genuine, palpable passion for food.
I can't recommend this place enough. I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Delicious! - Edit
Very much enjoyed the food we had at Sesame! We had the maki and the cereal burger which was so tasty and yummy! It was very refreshing and light to taste but the taste of the ingredients were so fresh and they complimented each other very well to bring the full flavor. Portions are also good so well-worth the money. Definitely recommend coming here. Bonus is the staff is very nice and accommodating.

Healthy vegan food - Edit
After a week in Provence and several days in Chamonix I was overjoyed to find somewhere I could actually eat out! The outdoor seating is really comfy and chilled. I had the tabbouleh, which was very tasty although a small portion. Other half had the portobello mushroom burger which he enjoyed. They have nice fresh smoothies and juices. The waitress was accommodating to our kids, allowing us to split a smoothie and tabbouleh between them. Would love them to do a separate kids’ menu but that seems to be fairly rare in France.

Seasame - Edit
The staff were extremely friendly at Seasame. The decor upstairs was very cozy and relaxing too. The food was beautiful but tasted very average. We got a leek tart, which I liked but my dining partner found too sweet (maybe they used sweetened soy milk?). We also got a tofu scramble toast, which was sort of dry and the tofu needed more flavor (salt came to the rescue here). The best part of both meals were the side salads included with each meal, which were fresh and tasty. I’d rate the food 3.5 but rounded up given the limited options in Chamonix and the fact that this is currently the only vegan place in town.
