Vegan oasis in Chamonix

Great spot for a fancier meal in Chamonix. I've visited twice, and both times was really pleased with the quality of the food and service.

Really wanted to like

Enjoyed the hummus plate, although said it was homemade focaccia but got pita bread. Got the special with seitan but it was not that tasty and sort of watery. The sauce was cold. Really wanted to like this place. Didn't have a chance to give it another try.

Pros: Hummus, Juice

Cons: Cold gravy, Seitan

The Veg Spot in Town

Nice to have lots of vegan options. I got a leek salad tapas (it was ok) and the burger (great). I did witness the main person working be very rude to some customers who had asked for something gluten free, so that sort of turned me off.

A seraphic succulence to savor.

An easy walk near the end of the main pedestrian street.

AMAZING

We came here for dinner after a great day hiking. It was more than we could have expected. Everything is vegan unless specifically stated at vegetarian. Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic. Falafel bowl, yellow Thai curry, burger and drinks. Fabulous atmosphere, friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for a better spot! Will definitely visit again ☺️

Tasty burger

Cozy atmosphere, convenient location, great music playlist, avocado toasts & dessert were okay and pricey, burger was tasty, friendly service but slow. Mixed feelings. The place has some potential. Probably the restaurant with the largest animal cruelty-free offer in Chamonix.

One of the best restaurants in the world

Every ingredient is thoughtfully sourced, they really prioritize local, in-season produce, and the chef is incredibly talented. We went here twice a day during our time in Chamonix and everything we had was delicious.

Pros: Local, organic ingredients , Interesting dishes , Kind staff

The pique of vegan burgers

The view sitting outside of this restaurant is insane !!!
Loads of vegan options. The burger was delicious and picture perfect. We had it with the home made chips and aoili which were AMAZING.

Pros: Beautiful view , Plenty of choice , Lovely mugs

All vegan except one veggie dish

I absolutely didn’t expect to find a delicious (almost) vegan cafe in Chamonix! The menu is almost entirely vegan - veggie options are marked with a v, no meat. We chose tapas - we had two plates each, three would have been better, I needed pudding to feel full! Every dish was delicious, flavoursome and beautifully presented. And the drinks were amazing too - I recommend the kombucha and hot cider made wiry freshly squeezed apples. The dessert was lovely too - orange cake with lemon sorbet. It was a little expensive, but a treat to have such nice healthy food.

Slightly overpriced and heavy on the stomach

Generally good food with options but I have to admit that the high prices, the dirtiness of the place (everything seems covered by a thin layer of grease), and the heaviness of the food (not the lightest food you’ll ingest even salads - I took a falafel salad and I’ve felt bloated all night long). Everything seems to be hand made tho and the waiter was very nice.

Pros: Good location , Nice service , Many vege and vegan options

Cons: Dirtiness of the place, Heaviness of the dish, Overpriced

Delicious food

We went here three times for dinner in one week! Nice tasty food, a good amount of options.
Almost everything is vegan, what isn’t is marked as veggie.
Only thing is it wasn’t cheap but good quality products and ingredients. The tiramisu was excellent!

Tasty food, but pricey.

The food was absolutely delicious, but we waited close to 40 mins (when it wasn’t super busy), for a bowl of pasta.

Delicious but too expensive!

Literally the only vegan-friendly around here for miles and boy is the food good! The only thing is that it’s way too expensive. 24 euros for a main and 10
Euros for dessert is really pushing it but as there’s nowhere else to eat around I’d say it’s still worth it! #Veganuary

Pros: Great food

Cons: Far too expensive

Best vegan food in Chamonix

Everything on menu is vegan (except one side dish).
Amazing, fresh, tasty vegan food! (Vegan Desserts too!)
It’s so hard finding vegan food in Chamonix, so Sesame is a godsend.
Highly enthusiastic and interesting chef/owner. Lovely gentleman who is very clearly passionate about vegan food.
10/10 will be returning for more amazing vegan food.

Pros: Vegan burger + fries, Everything is so fresh, Everything is tasty

Tasty food nice spot

We checked out happy cow when visiting chamonix and were pleased to find Sesame. Wasn’t too busy as it’s the shoulder season. Was a little slow with ordering but food came at a good pace. Respected our request to bring out dishes as ready (we had a little kid to feed!). The food was brilliant, great texture and flavours. I’m always wary with veggie burgers due to potential texture failure but this was super. Fries on side were some of the best I’d had in years. Aubergine and soup were also excellent. Friendly and interesting chats with the chef owner. Big recommend.

Pros: Really great food, especially custom made burger, Friendly owner

Cons: Seemed understaffed when we visited, A little pricey but you’re paying for quality

A real treat

Everything was great about this place, especially as you have to walk past so many restaurants with NO vegan options to get to it.
Service was great, food was delicious and unusual. Great location and plenty of choice - only 1 dish was non-vegan.

Pros: Great choice, Lovely relaxed vibe

Hold the salt!!

Great location on the main street in Chamonix. Impressive vegan menu with specials. Pricey but then you are sitting with a view of Mont Blanc! I ordered the noodle dish, with tofu, under main meals. The noodles were cold spiralised vegetables drowning in soy sauce. I like salt but this was inedible! The bits of tofu were nice. My partner ordered the burger which was also oversalted but the chips, as an extra side order (6 euros!) compensated for the salt. The waiter agreed to bring me a burger instead. After the meal, we had to drink lots of water.
Cost? 2 beers, 2 wines and 2 burgers, one fries as extra.. 62 euros!

On the same street a different restaurant sells vegan risotto for €30 so I think it is just the prices of Chamonix. I think Sesame is high quality though.

Good vegan food in heart of Chamonix

Really cozy place with many options. The only thing is the portion sizes. The salads that was listed as a meal in it self was not satiating at all. It was more like a side salad with only 5 small pieces of tofu in it.

In generel it is hard to find good salads in Chamonix that also makes you feel full. My daughter loved the baked sweet potato. If I were to come back I would order a burger a couple of side dishes..

Pros: The many options, Cozy place , Tasted good

Cons: Small portions , Expensive (if you want to feel full)

Loved chilling here watching the sparrows.

Seating outside or upstairs, we chose upstairs by the window. The toilet is at the bottom of the stairs. We had lunch here and spent time watching the sparrows brazenly eating from diners plates at the next door restaurant.
We enjoyed the food and experience here. We were also told all the food is vegan so could it be they have cows milk available which has them listed as veggie 🤔
