Easily one of the best vegan restaurants in Edinburgh - Edit
Easily one of the best Vegan restaurants in Edinburgh!! Wonderfully tasty food and great service. Highly recommend any of the toasted flatbreads and the smoothies are delightful. We were spoilt for choice! We will definitely be coming back soon (even if we are 400 miles away) 😊

Meh - Edit
I honestly thought the food would be nicer since this place is so highly rated, maybe I went on the wrong day, but to me it seemed like the standard run of the mill vegan burger, well presented I must admit, but lacking in flavour.
Read moreThe alcohol is a touch overpriced, but the boozy smoothies are nice. The cake I tried was not particularly impressive, hopefully next time it will be a better experience

The food was fantastic and the menu inspired me to recreate a few of the options at home. The food was served quickly and the service was very attentive.

Hearty warming soul food - Edit
I love visiting Seeds for the Soul. I had a huge walk through the icy cold Old Town so was ready for a hearty meal by the time I arrived. I ordered the mac n cheeze and asked if I could have chickn strips for some added protein. I was so full I had no room for cake! Sad times as the counter had so many to pick from. I’ll have to visit again soon to make up for it!

We had a delicious meal here, we had the Satay Tofu bowl and the Asian bowl. Both were huge and jam packed with veggies! The ginger and lemon tea was also really enjoyable

The future is vegan - Edit
Wonderful spot for breakfast. Well decorated and humble cafe with the essence of veganism and creative cooking at its core! Very inventive with how they have created fully vegan alternatives to classics, using a mix of home made and more commercial alternatives. Something I thoroughly liked, was that the cafe is also host to some small fundraising for a local animal sanctuary as well! The only downside is that this spot is a little far out of Edinburgh centre.

Cons: Expensive, Quite far out of the city centre

Don’t walk, run to this place! - Edit
Amazing food took my non vegan friends to try also! Food was amazing and they had so many options! I was so excited to have no eggs Benedict after so long not having it because of becoming vegan and it did not disappoint.

Amazing breakfast spot! - Edit
It’s often hard to find good vegan breakfasts that aren’t just avocado toast - this place is amazing, we had the vegan eggs benny, one the best vegan breakfasts we’ve ever had! Really good drinks selection too with lots of smoothies and hot chocolates.

Brunch for us - Edit
Walked here after being told it was great. Didnt disappoint, we found it hard to choose. Full breakfast was tasty and the bacon especially so. Their version of eggs benidict was the best I've tasted and lots of sauce. Cakes looked lovely too but we were too full.

Brilliant selection of food, drinks, and cake. I did choke on the noodles and almost die but I can’t really deduct a star for that. The staff were very helpful and even gave me a free piece of cake for surviving.

What a delight - Edit
Having arrived in Edinburgh and wandering to find a vegan restaurant, I was delighted to find this place. Lovely food - calamari and Mac cheese with bacon (!), finished off with a lovely chocolate orange cake. Super friendly staff and chilled out atmosphere. Highly recommend.

OK but expensive and the menu didn't inspire - Edit
I wasn't overly impressed with the menu. The bagel I had was nice enough but nothing to write home about. Most of the options were simply veganised meat dishes and that's not my personal preference. The staff were very friendly and it's good that it's 100% vegan.

We enjoyed our food very much! Busy place. Next time we will get here before 12 to try pancakes and like the sound of the recommended hot choc too. Consider reserving your table as we were lucky to be able to be seated! Our highlight was the vegan shrimp

So edible - Edit
Probably the best vegan hot chocolate I’ve ever had! (Biscoff). Really enjoyed the vegan breakfast, nice not to see vegan haggis and black pudding on the menu. Friendly staff. Would eat there regularly if we were local.

Amazing place but felt rushed - Edit
We came here for our anniversary last week. The food was great especially if you like big burgers. We really enjoyed the food and the restaurant was set up really cute! I especially loved the light up vegan sign! Although the only disappointment was that we ordered our starters and mains and they vertically came out all together so didn’t give us chance to eat jt. Also come the end of our meal they were cleaning up around us and stacking the chairs on the tables that were empty so we felt super rushed like we had to leave. It ruined the meal a little. But overall it was lovely to find a fully vegan restaurant which was nice but not my favourite. We arrive at 8pm so if I were you I’d go earlier as we didn’t realised but the kitchen shuts at 8.30 which is kinda early, so many this is why all our food came out at the same time.
