Amazing all-rounder! - Edit
This is our second time visiting Seeds for the soul. The first time was for dinner earlier in the year but we have no photos of this. Now, we have re-visited for breakfast after enjoying it so much the first time. Both of us had the savoury pancakes which were incredible. Neither of us wanted to finish our meals! The sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs were amazing and the pancakes were so fluffy + soft!!
Read moreAfter this we had a blackcurrant tea pot which was served with cute cups and saucers!
A must visit if you are in the area! Or even if you aren't!!
Pros: Savoury Pancakes were amazing, Biscoff Latte!!, Relaxing Atmosphere and Nice interior

Love it - Edit
Priced fairly and good selection of sides. As well as feasting on the generously sized bowls in person, we often order a selection of the sides via a delivery app when there’s an offer! We’ve been known to share a super indulgent coffee from time to time too. Best place in Edinburgh for a healthy vegan lunch in my opinion.

Literally saved us - Edit
We went for breakfast here after hiking arthurs seat so we were veryyyyy hungry. The decoration is super nice, the staff were really welcoming and checked on us the perfect number of times. Our food was super fast and there were loads of options. They gave us water without asking and refilled our water without asking. The food was AMAZING and 100% worth the price considering it wasnt even too expensive. Definitely deserves top rated restaurant.

If you haven't been here, you need to go!! - Edit
This is possibly one of the best vegan places I have been to. The staff was just super friendly and the food was beautiful to look at as well as delicious to eat. We came here for brunch and had the full Scottish breakfast and were so taken away that we came back again for dinner. Dinner was just as good!

I had the ABC beyond burger which was delicious! There was a choice of side and I got the salted, chilli fries which were so tasty. After our meal we had hot chocolates and I appreciated the extra touch of cream and chocolate buttons.

It was 50mins walk from where I stay, definitely worth to go! Food is so good! So full, unable to eat dessert so I take it to home (will have it next the day! Lol). One of staff who serve me, she’s so lovely and sweet, especially when she tried to communication with me use finger spelling and some sign as I am profoundly deaf and BSL user 🥰

Large portions, big menu - Edit
Bowls are delicious! Had the satay one. Portions of everything are big and filling. Prices are a bit odd, like £5.04 etc. Good selection of cakes. Not doing Mac and cheese or hot dogs at the moment ☹️ Good vegan ethics! They take card but wouldn't let us pay for parts of the bill separately.

Great lunch - Edit
It was a nice walk after visiting the national gallery. I had a bagel with smashed avocados, tomato and onions and hummus. The bagel itself was a great bagel and I liked the mixture and it was seasoned well. I also had an Oreo cookies and cream frappe. This was spectacular. My partner had the Mac doggy Dog. It was huge and I tried it and liked it. It’s a nice space and again the service was great.

Committed and reliable vegan go-to in the "fake meat" tradition - Edit
This is a committed long-standing vegan eatery in Bruntsfield, easily reached from Edinburgh city centre West end, offering a selection of burgers/bowls/wraps in the new vegan/fake meat tradition. While I'm not a fan of artifical "meat" and don't really care for the taste of "Beyond Meat" burgers, if these things don't bother you, then this informal dining place with a youthful vibe (esp. in evenings) will suit well. Food is tasty and filling, rather than fancy or creative. The bowls are very good and nicely presented. Desserts don't feature large, though there are a few cakes.
Read moreStaff are friendly if often inexperienced (an issue everywhere tho'). The place is pleasant, small but airy, and quite stylish, though the layout makes positioning of tables difficult, especially for twos. Dogs are welcomed.
Overall, a reliable go-to within the city's vegan eateries - and open in the evenings which many vegan eateries aren't. With more variety in the menu, a few desserts (lack of these in traditional restaurants remains a problem), some thought given to layout, and attention to staff customer training, the standard could easily be raised.
Pros: Friendly, if often inexperienced staff, Committed approach to veganism, nice presentation, Informal, cafe style, quieter out of centre
Cons: Limited burger/bowls/wraps (fine if you like this, Only one kind of burger (Beyond Meat), Tables for two located near bar, stairs or loo
