Vegan Ramen and Sushi - Edit
I had ramen with Tempura fried tofu and mushroom. Broth tastes like vegetable soup so I'd probably get something next time but still good.

Ordered to take away - Edit
They were very friendly and fast! And the food is delicious! I highly recommend, someday would like to sit there and enjoy the food locally. Only the creme brulée (unfortunately bland) I had to pay 5€ extra for the porcelain bowl, but I returned it to them next day and got my 5€ back. We didn't eat there because it was fully booked and we could just stay there for 30 minutes (time to wait for the take away to be ready).

Innovative and tasty Cuisine - Edit
We spontaneously decided to have dinner at secret garden on our 2-day trip to munich.
Read moreWe were overwhelmed by the amount of innovative and appealing food we saw in the menu! After some hard decision making, we settled on some enoki and aspargus nigiri as a starter. For the main dish I chose the Ramen.
First of all I was quite surprised that they had asparagus in Fall and this still remains a mystery to me. The nigiri both where a little too flavourless themselves for me, but with enough soy sauce this was handled.
The Ramen broth itself was a tiny bit too acidic for my taste, but the noodles and toppings made that up very easily. Crispy Tofu, yummy mushrooms, sweet corn and noodles with just the right texture.
All in all, I now wish to live in Munich just to get a taste of all those interesting meals, so we will come back here for sure!

Pros: Innovative Menu, Nice Interior, Yummy Ramen-Toppings

Delicious - Edit
The food was really tasty and they had a lot of unique choices for starters, sushi, rice dishes, ramen and udon. The meal was reasonably priced and filling. The restaurant atmosphere is also really nice.

Fountain of happiness - Edit
First of all, Secret Garden offers much more than just vegan sushi, as summed up on their door-plate. Second, after learning that Secret Garden (and Soy) belong to the same group as Sauvage, I was eager to visit this venue, too. However, my aim isn't to compare both restaurants with each other, as their concepts are different. Here, apart from à la carte suggestions, they offer very affordable and different lunch menus. We had the Emi and Aiko sushi combos, with a miso soup and summer rolls as starters. Everything was great, which was a good reason to order dessert as well. The crème brûlée resembled rather a panna cotta, but was top notch either way and it was easy to savour the avocado matcha cheesecake, too. Beautiful setting with cosy niches and friendly people are also worth mentioning.

Highlight restaurant of my trip to Munich - Edit
Very special vibe in this restaurant. My girlfriend and I had date night here. We loved it so much. Service took a while but they were very busy so it makes sense, they were all very nice though. The food was amazing - I had never had anything like it before! My gf and I tried the plate for 2 (it included like 6 different rolls) which was great because we didn’t know what to choose out of all the options! We also had some dumplings as an appetizer. The food was sooo tasty, it’s so special to find all-vegan sushi. The presentation was amazing too. We ordered the crème brûlée for dessert, and while it was tasty, it was definitely not traditional crème brûlée (just something to be aware of - I probably wouldn’t recommend it). I want to come back and try everything on the menu!

Foreigners Beware! - Edit
We stumbled across Secret Garden while exploring Munich and decided to return later for dinner. Upon entering we were asked if we had a reservation, we didn’t, the waiter seemed annoyed at us even though the restaurant was less than half full. After ordering the waiter leaned in and whispered “we only take cash, that okay?” We asked if they take cards, he asked if we had cash. We said we wanted to pay with card. He relented and said that was okay. I them watched and every single table around us paid with a card. Without hesitation he piled out the card machine for them to pay. When we were ready to pay he then pushed for a tip. Something he didn’t do to anyone else. The food was good but I would never return.

Sounds like you got a dose of good ol' Bavarian hospitality with a side of "give me an under the table tip". 🤣

So good! - Edit
The crispy duck red curry was outstanding. The deck itself does not appear to be processed outside of the restaurant. I think they make all of their vegan meats in-house. The summer rolls were fresh and flavorful. The Inside out roll with white rice and truffle was also out of this world. So delicious!

Different in taste and looks - Edit
The place itself is super cool. I order the Pur Stille, which I did not particularly liked, however I believe it was just a matter of picking the wrong dishe for my taste. Everyone else with me liked their food very much. The prices are good, however, they only accept cash which is very inconvenient.

Best Vegan Sushi EVER - Edit
Wow — came here on my travels and had the best vegan sushi of my life.
Read moreThe tempura rolls are a must! So flavourful, the dressing was so stunning.
Vegan duck was succulent and crisp, the garlic sauce was so woody and smokey - huge portion but bursting with flavour that there was no flavour fatigue.
The service was a little slow, food arrived quick but we did have to wait a long time to be attended to — worth the wait however.
Definitely not a place to go for incredible service, but the food is to die for!

Very very delicious! - Edit
Wow. We were blown away by this place. All the food was incredible. The ramen bowl was absolutely delicious! Very fresh vegetables! The sushi was outstanding. Very unique combinations. Got the crème brûlée dessert, a little strange but still yummy. The service was good but there was definitely a language barrier and at first they told us we could only pay cash. Had trouble trying to split the check as well so had to pay all in one. Highly recommended though! Everything vegan and all we ate was delicious.

Affordable Lunch Menu - Edit
I was honestly blown away by their sushi! A unique selection in comparison to any sushi restaurant i’ve been to. It is quite expensive, however if you want to try it on a budget, go during lunch times during weekdays where they have a bunch of different options for 10€!
