Rosemary potatoes! - Edit
This place is glorious. I always make it to an all vegetarian restaurant when I come to Sedona but THIS is my new Sedona must have! First of all, the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful!! The black coffee is delish.. I forgot to ask what they served. My dish was awesome, especially the tri-colored rosemary potatoes... there were the best. Rob has a vegetarian breakfast burrito and enjoyed it too! I can’t wait to come back!

Come for the vegan Ruben - Edit
I come back for the vegan chicken Ruben as it's incredible. I also love the garden love tofu scramble breakfast which is amazing with the tricolored potatoes and covered in Cholula and Pico. The vegan chicken quesadilla is good but could be better if they melted the cheese under the broiler for a minute or so.
Read moreService on the other hand is a huge challenge. I have been a regular for over 6 months now and still somehow I randomly get served meat. 3 times this has happened!! Once I ordered a portobello sandwich with vegan cheese and veggies as they were out of the Ruben and they put chicken on it. I almost took a bite, but luckily I saw it and stopped. 2 weeks ago or so they gave me a beef Ruben. Not cool.
The manager who's name I believe is Christy is very sweet and friendly. Love her. The young brunette that works there is a rude little [censored] who has no business working in hospitality. She refused to take my phone order for lunch at 11:25 because lunch doesn't start until 11:30 and actually made me call back in 5 minutes to place the order! Power trip much? She was also rude when ringing me up, barking the price at me without any other greeting, a thank you or anything. Just cold, snippy and borderline combative. Not the first time either. She needs to go or I'll have to start recommending other places for lunch in town to the many guests and tourists I meet at work. I also bring large groups of colleagues here for lunch. If they allowed reservations I would bring groups more often.
There is also a space cadet server who is nice but definitely smokes too much weed before work or something because he can't remember from one second to the next what you just asked for and will spend the whole meal bringing you one item at a time that he forgot. Oh you asked 3 times for a refill on that beer? Yeah just make sure he takes it off the bill because it's never coming and you're ready to go home. Lol. Overall, I love this place but wish there were more vegan options and way better service. Also the vegan deserts are dry and disappointing. Try using apple sauce as an egg replacement, you will see a huge difference! Thanks for the great Tofu scramble and Ruben though!
Pros: Best vegan breakfast in town, Ruben to die for. , Passion fruit iced tea is divine, Nice garden setting and good prices
Cons: Service , Attention to detail lacking, May serve meat by accident

Breakfast lunch and dinner - Edit
We came for dinner and they were serving select dinner menu items with the full lunch menu because of Covid. My parents got sandwiches from the lunch menu and I got a GF and V dinner option. We all loved our dishes so much we made plans to come back the next morning for breakfast. Amazing!

Lovely lunch - Edit
I had seen The Secret Garden Cafe several times on visits to Sedona, and had wanted to try it. What a great setting under the trees. I am So glad we finally made it here. The Southwest veggie sandwich (easily vaganized on request) and Tempeh Reuben were both fabulous. The Tlaquepaque Mule and Prickly Pear Mango Margarita were refreshing and delicious additions to our meal. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Sedona.

Unexpectedly awesome option! - Edit
There are multiple vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and other items that can be easily made vegan. They carry vegan cheese, which we subbed on their housemade veggie burger to make it vegan. We also had the vegan tempeh reuben. Both were delicious and filling. The waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. The outdoor seating was quiet and lovely--it's a garden patio. We didn't expect much for vegans in Sedona and we were SO happy with our experience!

Messed up my whole order. - Edit
I was so excited to try this place in Sedona, I ordered the portobello sandwich vegan with no peppers, and a side salad with Asian sesame dressing. As well as guacamole and chips. The guacamole and chips were amazing, however my order came out completely wrong. My sandwich had peppers on it, which I do not like, and the salad came with balsamic dressing rather than the sesame. I was so hungry at this point that I didn't want to wait for my order to be re-made. Besides the guacamole, the meal was unenjoyable because they simply messed up my whole order. I would just make sure to clarify what you want here.

oops not vegan - Edit
Ordered veggie scramble with tofu for breakfast. The peppers and mushrooms had lots of flavor. Good potatoes too.
Read moreUnfortunately I was given gluten free bread (which has egg) but could not tell. I only found out because I asked if it was made in house and was shown the brand in a bag. But the waitress was awesome about it and apologized and took a discount off my meal, then brought two slices of vegan whole grain toast. Kitchen had seen the ticket said vegan (my toast was not buttered) but they didn't pay attention to the bread. SO be sure to insist on which bread you want. If you are vegan and can't eat gluten I don't know if they have bread for you. Maybe ask for extra sides. Still worth it though.
Pros: lovely setting, knowledgeable friendly servers
Cons: only one vegan option for breakfast, scramble was gf but not vegan

First Time Cook Made Tofu Scramble? - Edit
The Secret Garden was cute, quaint and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was super friendly. I give my two stars to them. Unfortunately the food wasn’t good or at least the dish we experienced. My husband and I went for breakfast, we were excited to try their Tofu Scramble. When it arrived at our table we thought the waitress brought someone else’s order by mistake but nope. It was cubed barely cooked tofu with a few veggies in a soupy sauce, nothing scrambled or breakfast-y about it. It was clear the cook hadn’t been trained how to prepare a tofu breakfast scramble. We ate it anyway, left still hungry and went to Whole Foods for their vegan blueberry donuts.

Ok for lunch - Edit
Cute cafe with a large bar that serves coffees, teas and cocktails. For lunch there are only a couple of vegan options. I had the portobello sandwich and it was very tasty. I also had a “veggie Mary”, a vegan Bloody Mary with veggie infused vodka. It was perfectly spicy. They have more vegan options for dinner but I’m happy with what I ordered. My sandwich was $15, the drink was $8. Our server was also amazing- high energy, kept our waters full and was very nice.
