Great breakfast - Edit
Their veggie breakfast is huge. They replaced the eggs with pumpkins and it was really delicious and filling. We kept going back because they have the best breakfast in town!

Staff friendly and like the labelled vegan options - Edit
Ok so I would say this is less of a 4 and more of a 3.5, however seeing as the recent reviews have been so low I believe that this cafe definitely deserves a higher rating.
Read moreFirst of all, the staff were super friendly (I was served by a joyful lady) and very kind. The food came out pretty quickly and was same as described.
Secondly, I lived the initiative that they bake their own bread - now it doesn’t live up to the standard of a bakery, but it is still pretty nice and more on the fluffy side.
The smoothie bowl was delicious - one of the best I think I have had I must say, my only fault with it was that it was not as big as it could’ve been.
Now, why I wouldn’t call this a real 4*… There are not many vegan options, so that could be expanded pretty easily; the idea of veganising veggie and meat menu items is not my favourite thing. Meat is served, which is also not great.
Overall, I would go back, but just wish there was more for vegans.

No proteins but opened early - Edit
It’s ok to eat 1-2 times. There are some options to choose from, quite tasty and it’s open early for the island but taking vegan option unfortunately you won’t get any proteins (there is chickpeas in a lunch dish). They have quality soya milk for caffe, but I don’t think they clean equipment between diary and soy as I could definitely feel normal milk and went to ask if they’re sure if they use soy one.

Staff not so friendly or vegan friendly - Edit
Not sure if it was just the server or the kitchen staff but I wanted to order an item with the vegan option symbol beside it. They basically remove half the ingredients and I asked could I add some sauce in replacement as the server said to me ‘it’s gonna be really dry’. He said he will ask the kitchen if it’s possible and I said if it wasn’t available, I would get a smoothie bowl. Before even asking the kitchen if it was possible, he vigorously scribbled out what he had written down for me and just said ‘thats much easier’ and walked away. The other staff members seemed nice and the food was good but I don’t see why they offer a vegan option, basically tell you it’s not gonna be nice and don’t let you add anything to it even though there’s a list of additions on the menu. Also not clear if the additional charge for soy milk is 50c or $1, so also not very vegan friendly if they do charge $1 for a bit of soy milk.

Would give 5 stars if the app would let me - Edit
Really nice place. Lots of vegan options which are all clearly labelled on the menu.
Read moreI ate there twice whilst on the island. The first time I had the maple porridge and a green juice which were both delicious.
Second time I arrived close to closing and so they were running out of ingredients. They were very apologetic and mix and matched a few things to make me a vegan bagel which was very tasty.
Really friendly staff and would definitely recommend. It is a little harder to find than the other restaurants, down a track that made me assume I was in the wrong place. But once you find it it’s definitely worth it.

Great options, delicious food - Edit
We came here 3 times during our stay on M’Pai Bay. Great options, friendly staff and tasty food. We loved the smoothie bowls, espresso smoothie and the veggie breakfast (which is huge!). They make homemade bread which is huge and delicious! Worth trying. Please note it is not open in the evenings.

Plenty of vegan options - Edit
They offer some good typical vegan options (smoothie bowls, Avo toast) and have loads of other options that can be made vegan (bagels, veggie breakfast, salads). Menu is super clear about what is and what can be made vegan.

Amazing brunch spot - Edit
They don’t have loads of labelled vegan options but they’re more than happy to veganise foods and swap bits. We had some amazing food & drinks here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bread for the wrap is homemade and is just beautiful. They have homemade coconut milk so you can veganise drinks and smoothie bowls.

Great breakfast spot - Edit
Lovely little Khmer/Australian-owned cafe, not too far from the pier at M'pai. Most of the menu was veggie with a few things that are vegan or can be made vegan - the menu is very clear about what's vegan or can be made vegan. We came here a few times during our stay on Koh Rong Sanloem in December and the food was great each time. I would recommend the smashed avocado bagel.

Very nice and vegan friendly restaurant - Edit
We were here several times for breakfast and lunch and enjoyed our meals. You sit in a quite cozy place and get free water to your order. We liked the veganized breakfast burrito and the avocado on multi grain bread very much. The Salad Sandwich on the lunch menu is awesome. They bake their own bread and also offer cookies (not vegan). The portions are big and the prices are really good. It was all fresh and delicious.

Really nice place with varied options for vegan breakfast, we had avo toast, smoothies, coffees and breakfast burritos (which were huge!). All was delicious and fresh. Bread is baked daily and is amazing - have found most bread out here has had sugar added and is too sweet but this tasted lovely.

It deserves 5+++ ! Awesome place. - Edit
My favourite place on the island! Everything is perfect! Their bread is incredible. Better than most of the bread we find in France. I’ve been there three times in 3 days. I always had peanut butter toast. I had also avocado toast and 2 smoothies and 1 salad fruits with granola and soy milk. I am in love with that place. So sad they are only on Koh Rong Samloem. I would definitely go there every day.
Read moreAnother good point: the prices are so affordable for the amount of food you have.
Bad point: none.
Plus, they do efforts to reduce plastic waste. No straw. The least they can do. Hopefully, they go further.
Pros: Multi-grain homemade bread , Granola , Price list

Exceptional. Would rate 5 stars if I could. - Edit
This place is a paradise for vegan food even if not vegan not vegetarian. My boyfriend and I had breakfast here every morning while on the island and it was always perfect. Portions are huge and fulfilling. The bread is to die for (French girl speaking). Go for a smoothie bowl, peanut butter or avo on toasts, big vegan breakfast and fruit salad without any hesitation. The soy latte is also pretty good. We will miss that place!

Smashed avo on toast - Edit
Ordered a smashed avo on toast with multi-grain bread with added mushrooms. Tasted great! A few other vege options on the menu too. A little bit of a walk from the beach, but still a nice place to sit down. Closes at 5 pm, so make it there for breakfast or lunch.

Amazing breakfast, best coffee around! - Edit
I'm so happy to have found reeeally nice coffee on this island. All coffees can be made vegan with soy milk. I recommend the soy latte!
Read moreThe smoothie bowl is delicious and super filling. The veggie breakfast is also super nice and filling, can be made getan by removing eggs. Emma, the owner, will happily add some extra veg without you having to ask for it, which is nice.
There is also avocado toast on home made bread which is vegan. The breakfast burrito and maple oatmeal can be made vegan as well. And there are lots of smoothies and crushes to choose from!
Pros: The vegan coffee options!, Home made bread and granola, Chilled out place
Cons: Not fully vegetarian/vegan
