This is hands down the best specialty coffee in gießen even though the prices are quite high. with each order they ask you if you would like to have your drink with oat or cows milk. youdont have to pay extra. almost every cake is vegan and the main dishes usually can be veganized.

We went on a weekday morning and it was already packed. We were lucky to get a table. There are more food options available from Friday to Sunday so we didn't have much choice. The food we could have however was delicious and I personally loved my Milchkaffee.

Nice café with very good vegan cake and usually a lot of options. Very good coffee, possibly the best to be found in Gießen. Unfortunately - but understandably - very crowded most of the time so it can be hard to find a seat.

Ist super lecker! Finde es top, dass sie ohne Sojaprodukte auskommt, selbst eingelegtes Gemüse der Saison dabei ist und generell die Komponenten frisch und nicht 0815 sind. Die Kuchen schmecken auch immer sehr gut! Entspannte Atmosphäre, kann oft mal laut sein.

Lovely atmosphere, great choice for vegans - Edit
We have been visiting Schwätzer & Söhne to have a coffee and were surprised that they had so many vegan options: 2 out of their three cakes were vegan (a warm cinnamon bread and a fancy coffee/cherry cream cake (Torte)) and both were fantastic. They were not labeled as vegan so make sure to ask them, even if the choices don't look obviously vegan.
Read moreThe coffee was good too (I liked the filter coffee much more than the americano) and the atmosphere is very cosy, like a living room with carpets and comfy sofas etc.
They seem to be connected to Gutburgerlich which is located right next door, another omnivore place which does a great job catering for vegans.
EDIT: Went back for breakfast, which was pricey but really good! Lots of selfmade things like spreads and grilled / marinated veggies etc. Definitely worth it if you are thinking of spending 12 EUR for a very good breakfast (including a drink).

Read moreThey have the best cappuccino plus it comes in very nice looking cups. And they always have very yummy vegan cake. Most of their cakes are vegan and homebaked, only the croissants and the cheesecake aren't.
