German Bread - Edit
A lovely organic German bakery with a good variety of vegan options. The bread was delicious, and I was really happy that it was not wrapped in plastic the way it usually is in Tokyo. I got to enjoy the lovely crunch that I often miss so much.
Read moreI was a bit disappointed that their bretzels contain butter though, as those in Germany are so often vegan.

One of the best bread - Edit
Tried bean bread and zwiebelbrot. The shop assistant kindly told us which breads were plant-based. Would love to go buy their bread again.

This is the best German bread I have had in Tokyo so far - Edit
I am German and kinda picky when it comes to bread. Schomaker's rye bread has a nice crust and stays fresh even days after buying it.
Read moreI wish they'd put some sheets over the shelves though so the bread doesn't just sit out in the open.

Hearty bread in japan! - Edit
Nice to find some hearty bread in japan for reasonable prices. Go early if you want options! I went around 3 on a Saturday and there wasn’t much left, but did get some walnut olive bread. Owner was happy to show what was vegan and said none of his breads had egg butter or milk. Some had cheese. I asked about honey in my bread and he said no honey which is probably true off the rest of the bread too.

Good bread! - Edit
The bakery sells really good organic German bread as you would find it in Germany, too! Some products contain Japanese ingredients such as azuki beans. The bread is vegan but they sell some additional vegetarian organic products (German brands). The owner is very nice and answered all my questions. He speaks German and English.

Cons: start selling later than breakfast time ;)
