Wonderful tea selection

I came here for the first time because the bathroom at Julian’s was out of order (haha) and I’m glad I did. I didn’t try any of the food because I had just eaten but I got a tea that was delightful (I forget the blend but I know it was peach and something… maybe lychee?) and my partner’s Rooibos Chai was outstanding. There’s a great vibe so I’ll definitely come back to try a crepe next time I am in Providence.

Vegan Thai Tea!

I haven’t quite figured out how to order the best vegan crepe here. It seems like they have a vegan crepe base. The employees say that any crepe can have the vegan base but that doesn’t really mean most of them can be vegan. No vegan butter as far as I can tell. I ordered the Vegan crepe with walnuts, vegan cheese, apples, and tamarind sauce which was okay but a little strange with the vegan cheese. Hopefully they can make a special vegan crepe for the menu. Might be better to stick to the sweet side of the menu!

Vegan Pastries & Great Service

I come here a lot to work in their cafe. I love to try new types of teas and usually get either a vegan lemon scone or vegan chocolate chip cookie to go with it. The staff are so nice and helpful, they’re really the best parts of Schastea. The cafe is very cozy and a great place to get some work done. They have a lot of space so even if it’s busy I’ve always been able to find a table.

Vegan treats and a cute relaxing tea spot!

Four of their bakery items are vegan - a banana muffin, lemon scone, espresso chocolate cookie, and energy balls. All are delicious. The staff know about veganism and are willing to modify any of the crepes to be vegan by removing non-vegan things, adding veggies/fruit, or substituting vegan cheese (they have vegan batter for an extra $1.50) but it would be nice if they advertised at least one fully-vegan crepe on their menu. The vibe is really cute and cozy and they seem welcoming to folks who want to stay and work!

Pros: Vegan treats, knowledgeable staff, Cute space

Cons: Vegan batter is up-charged, Larger dishes must be modified to be vegan
