Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
The menu shows what is vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free, and the vegan items are incredible. I was feeling quite fat and happy when the owner came to our table and said, "Do you know our baklava is vegan?" Wow. I've been vegan for 30 years, and have never had baklava. Mmmmmmm! Amazing. I love Sawa.

Authentic Food Easily Vegan - Edit
Fresh made food. Owner is lovely & customizes entrees for vegan. Kibbeh made with chickpea. Greek salad with almond or walnut instead of feta. Seriously delicious vegan Mediterranean food!

This is not a vegan restaurant, but the delicious stir fry I got came with almonds and walnuts! And their yellow rice is cooked perfectly!

Asked about switching Quinoa for the wheat in the Tabuli salad. It was delicious. Very accomidating and attentive for every item. A true gem in Clear Lake area.

A family owned restaurant that is happy to serve. The foods are made fresh to order and they try to accommodate dietary requirements. The menu is clearly marked for vegan, dairy, and gluten allergens.
Read moreAfter coming several times I asked the owner if he would consider making vegan kibbeh and to my surprise he said yes! The final product was such a hit that it made it onto the menu!
