Great Cafe and Spiritual Centre - Edit
This cafe (on the outskirts of Jambiani) is worth the effort to visit for its wide range of (mostly vegan, but some vegetarian) snack and meal options, including beers, fruit juices and smoothies.
Read moreI have visited many vegetarian cafes around the world and this offers something quite unique! As well as offering delicious food, Shanti, who is a Ugandan born spiritualist, who has studied many faiths, also offers retreats (that include food, accommodation, input sessions etc)
We ate there twice and enjoyed It immensely. They also offer a take away service and will box up your left overs or provide new meals for you to take with you. The staff are very friendly and happy to show you around. They also offer yoga sessions, massages and reggae nights. Highly recommended!

Ich bin 3 Tage vor Ort gewesen und habe jeden Tag dort gegessen und abends auch ins Hostel liefern lassen.

I literally fell in love with this café. I had several different salads and bowls during my one week stay in Paje. The staff is very nice and the food is healthy and so delicious.

Favorite place in Zanzibar! - Edit
We went to Sativa / Shanti Cafe for the first time and will definitely come back! The staff is super friendly, the place is nicely decorated and the food is just outstanding. We had the "six senses" dish for two people and were overwhelmed by the variety and taste of the food. Over the course of our waiting time (which was around 30-45 minutes), we played a game they had there. We will definitely come back for more dishes 😊

Reggae loving restaurant with delicious food - Edit
This restaurant has a good laid back atmosphere with reggae ambient and music. The vegan and vegetarian offer there is amazing. My friend and I had their Sativa Special and it was enormous and ridiculously good. Too bad we discovered it on our last day. Would definitely go eat there again

Die Preise sind der Hammer. Hatten als Vorspeise bruschetta - war schon eine sehr große Portion und die veg nuddles waren mega! Smoothies waren auch super lecker. Ich hatte noch das grüne linsendaal war auch super, aber hätte für mich noch mehr würze vertragen. Super nettes Personal.

I was really happy with my Shanti Special. Just wish I knew how big it was lol. Hope they get a good hot sauce. I requested pili pili and the chef did a quick chop of some fresh chilies in oil. That was really sweet but I wanted hot sauce lol. The owner came over to chat for a bit and was really nice.

Great staff and well priced on busy main road in Paje. I've eaten here A LOT over the past 6 months and they're consistently good. Everything cooked from scratch and fresh wholesome ingredients in a lot of the dishes.

Good restaurant with a plethora of vegan options and very yummy food! We had peanut butter and banana juices, coconut Chai masala Buddha bowl and sweet potato salad.
Read moreNot 100% vegan as they use cows milk from a tank for coffees, we had to ask for coconut milk instead and the veg omelette isn't listed as vegan on the menu but couldn't confirm how it was made. Lots of flies around when we went but didn't bother us! Cash only.
